Review: Tatcha Aburatorigami Japanese Blotting Papers

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing theTatcha Aburatorigami Japanese Blotting Papers. One pack of these (30 sheets) retail for $12 and three packs of these (90 sheets) retail for $30. They can be purchased from tatcha.com. Keep reading to see why I love this product to death!
Pro(s):
-Absorbs oil well.
-Sleek Packaging.
-Doesn’t dry out my face or irritate my skin.
-Biodegradable and organic.
-Doesn’t move my makeup around.
Con(s):
-Not available in drugstores.

Overall review: I really liked these. They are so thin and the packaging is great. It’s not like you’re carrying a big bundle of paper with you, more like you’re carrying a dollar or two around with you. The packaging is sleek and the leaflets work great for when you get out of the gym and you have that unattractive grease face (been there, done that, didn’t get away with it)! These are also pretty affordable. I just wish that these were available more at a wide range of places instead of just on their website. I hope you enjoyed Lisa since she was the one who requested it!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it VICKY approved? : Yup, I’ll be buying this again!

Review: Z-Palette by Zena Shteysel

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Z-Palette by Zena Shteysel. It retails for $20 on zpalette.com and they also have a store locator. It comes in a variety of prints, but the one you see above is the one I have. It made of cardboard and plastic but it’s durable. They also have smaller palettes too for $14. They also sell pre-cut magnets to stick to your pans of makeup. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Magnetized.
-Environmentally friendly.
-Travel friendly.
-Compact and easy to use.
-Very durable materials!

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: I really love this product. It’s a lot like MAC palettes except you can fit any brand of makeup pans in here. I like that’s it made of thick cardboard and plastic so this way it doesn’t so much harm to the environment. I got a couple of these after receiving the sample for my review because I really love everything about them. The convenient thing is that they’re also magnetized. I just hope that Teresa enjoys it as well as everyone else, but Teresa requested it. Thanks!

Rating: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, as soon as my personal makeup collection gets bigger, I will be purchasing more of these for my panned cosmetics.

Review: Sweetly You Premium Body Lotion

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing yet another product. I’m like on a roll with these entire well thought out reviews. This product is from the Sweetly You bath company. It’s their body lotion. I have it in Honeysuckle and it smells exactly like Honeysuckle; not too sweet or plain. It retails from Sweetly You’s website for $6.95 for the 4 oz version. For the 8oz version, it’s $9.95. I personally think the prices are affordable. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Very moisturizing!
-Travel friendly size.
-Affordable luxury for less.
-Wide range of scents.
-Lightweight feel on the skin.

Con(s):
-The moisture doesn’t last that long.
-The scent fades away fast.

Overall review: I love this product. All though the scent doesn’t last long or the moisture, I still love its price as well as its level of moisture it gives the skin. I think everyone would like it. This product is lightweight on the skin and provided a lot of moisture. I am definitely planning on purchasing another one of these. Thanks to Amber G. from Wyoming for the request. Enjoy!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I’m thinking of seriously getting another one of these!

Small MAC Haul!

Hey girls! So normally I don’t do these kinds of posts, but this MAC haul got be a bit excited. The awesome UPS dude came an hour ago and dropped off my package. As all of you know, MAC has been releasing too many collections and I can’t manage to spend my money on each one of them. I sat myself down and decided what I should get from all of the collections and this is all I could have thought of. I get a duplicate of everything shown for my kit, but here’s what I have for myself. I finally purchased the Viva Glam Lady Gaga lipstick. This has been the rant and rave of all bloggers from everywhere. I’ve wanted it forever so here’s my haul. I tried it on and it’s a bit too blue toned but I can work with it. It’s the best bubblegum pink color. I also got Culture clash lipglass from MAC. It’s part of the Colour Forecast 1 (pink). I love it but the moment I swatches it and then removed it, tons of glitters were left over. I also got All That Glitters eye shadow which is so pretty in pan form. It’s a permanent, but I didn’t have it before. Finally, I got a free Zoomlash mascara sample. They suck, but every time I decide to get a coupon code for free shipping, I can’t just type in the code without the free sample. Somewhere in my mind, I need the free sample, but I never open or use them. I think they’ll be good gifts at my niece’s pajama party she’s having soon. That’s my haul. I’ll be reviewing the Gaga lipstick soon enough and feel free to request any other reviews. Enjoy!

Review: Sweetly You Solid Scent

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Sweetly You Travel Perfume. It’s actually a solid scent with an oily consistency that you can rub and put it where ever you want to. It retails from sweetlyyou.com for $3.95. I got it in Cookies ‘n’ Cream. It smells divine; exactly like cookies. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product.

Pro(s):
-Smells amazing.
-Travel size!
-Wide fragrance range.
-Easy to apply.

Con(s):
-The scent doesn’t last very long.

Overall review: I like the idea of having a travel size solid perfume, but it’s more like a body splash kind of thing. I don’t think it’s essentially meant to last a while, just for an hour each application. I find it very easy to apply, but the scent fades away an hour later. I love that it comes in a small jar and not something huge like the huge Marc Jacobs ring. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to spend your money on. I personally might get another one in a different fragrance. Thanks to Tiffany for requesting it. Enjoy!

Rating: 9/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I might as well go and grab myself one of these.

Review: MOR Cosmetics Body Butter

Hey girls! Today for the millionth time, I will be reviewing the MOR Cosmetics body butter in lychee flower. This body butter retails for $26 from Morcosmetics.com and other retailers. It smells exactly like lychee juice if you’ve ever tried it. It just is a bit less sugary smelling. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Very moisturizing.
-The moisture definitely lasts long (think and entire working day).
-It’s the best gift to give anyone.
-You get a lot of product for its price.

Con(s):
-A bit too pricey.

Overall review: Its one of the best body butters I’ve tried. Its consistency is a bit thick so you don’t have to use a lot. It’s not exactly like butter because it doesn’t melt into your skin; it’s just a name. It doesn’t smell bad at all and the scent range is pretty big since it has over 15 different scents for different noses. I personally adore the tub size of it but others might think it’s too bulky and not travel friendly. The thing that people normally want in a product like this is an SPF factor, but this doesn’t have any. Actually think that since it’s so thick, its perfect for the winter and you wouldn’t need much SPF so it’s okay. I hope this review helped all of you and the person who requested it: Janelle. Enjoy!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, definitely, this is my new staple product!

Review: EOS Sphere Lip Balm

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing the EOS (Evolution of Smooth) Sphere Lip balm. This can range anywhere from $2-$2.99 at all drugstores in the U.S. as far as I know as well as Target and Wal-Mart. The one I have is in Summer Fruit. It smells a lot like fruit punch but not as sugar. It’s clear and looks completely matte on your lips. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Good base for lip products.
-Makes my lips very smooth.
-Smells great.
-Nice compact packaging!
-It lasts for a pretty long time (3 hours).

Con(s):
-Weird waxy taste and feel.

Overall review: This is probably the most smooth lip balm I’ve ever used. It’s so smooth and not sticky or anything. For example, if the wind was blowing, my hair wouldn’t stick to my lips if they were open. It’s best as a primer for your lips before using a lip product. It lasts for about 3 hours before having to reapply. It’s so compact that I can take it anywhere with me. I hope all of you enjoyed this review and thanks to Dana for requesting it!

Rating: 9/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yup! I will definitely getting myself another one if these bad boys!

Review: Hourglass Cosmetics Prodigy Lip Gloss

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Hourglass cosmetics Prodigy lip gloss in Opium. This shade is described as a darkened plum with lots of glitter and shimmer, but it looks more like a bronzed beige shade with lots of multi-colored glitter. As you can see in the swatch, it has more silver glitters, but it isn’t chunky or anything. It recently released in March at Sephora stores, online as well as on the company’s website for $26. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Lightweight and very smooth.
-Very compact and cute case/packaging.
-Very shimmery, but not gritty.
-Non-sticky.

Con(s):
-Very sheer.
-Pricey for the amount of quantity you get.

Overall review: This lip gloss is probably the only one I’ve ever tried that isn’t sticky at all. It’s just like water on your lips with sheen. This gloss is very sheer and because of that, I wear it over a lip stick for a beige/bronze sheen on my lips. I don’t think I would buy this product again because it’s pricey. Although, you do get more product than you do in a MAC lip gloss, but it makes up the price also. I do really like this gloss, but I wish it was more pigmented. I wouldn’t repurchase this again, but I don’t think I’ll use it up that fast anyways. The consistency isn’t thick or too thin. It’s just right. I hope you enjoyed and thanks to Jane for requesting this review! Enjoy!

Rating: 8.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, but I wouldn’t repurchase it!

Review: China Glaze Poolside Collection for Summer 2010

Hey girls! Today, I’m reviewing the China Glaze Poolside collection which is releasing on April 1st. It will be available from various professional salons, ULTA, and many other e-tailers. I was most excited to review these polishes because they are neon. I love the matteness of them and I don’t get to wear such bright colors. If you think that my description is tempting, don’t forget to check out pictures and swatches. Keep reading to see my review!

Pro(s):
-Very bright and pigmented.
-Wearable.
-Fast drying.
-Thin formula.
-Non streaky!

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: I love these polishes to death. They are everything a girl wants; pigmentation, wearable, dries quickly, and the matteness of them. They’re by far the best neon nail polishes I’ve ever tried. I was originally expecting them to be streaky, but they’re not. It just takes more than 3 coats for the bright yellow color, but since it dries very fast it doesn’t take that long. I love these and they’re the best neon polishes I’ve ever tried. Now, I’m getting a bit redundant so let me get to the point. At just $6.50 a bottle, it’s a hard deal to pass. I just love them to death. My two most favorite wearable colors are Flip Flop Fantasy and Towel Boy Toy. Again though, I still suggest getting everything. Enjoy!

Rating: 10/10

Review: Beauty By Rachel's "My Spring It"

Hey girls! Many of you have been asking me for the easiest way to remove facial hair and all I have responded is by waxing. Well, a while ago, I was introduced to this company who sells facial hair removers. They are called “My Spring Its”. They are these springs and you bend them in an upside down “U” shape and then move it up while twisting it in. This plucks out multiple hairs at a time with minimal pain. It pulls the hair out of the root so it doesn’t grow back as fast and you won’t get irritated red bumps like you do when waxing. This is good for brows or any other facial hair. Click here to visit their site and see a demo on how to use it. It retails for $16 which really isn’t that bad for a product that will last you for about a year. Keep reading for more of my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Very affordable.
-Easy to use.
-Does a good job of plucking out unwanted hairs.
-Very compact and also comes with its own case.

Con(s):
-If your skin is caught between it, it will hurt like a *****.

Overall review: I had heard of a similar product, but this one is the best. It kind of hurt me the first times because I don’t do this often. I actually bleach my hair so it was a bit painful at first, but if you’re used to threading or waxing, it shouldn’t hurt because your skin is already used to it. I hope you enjoy Danielle because she’s the one who asked me more than once!

Review: MOR Cosmetics Lip Delight

Hey girls! Sorry for not being able to do any reviews or any updates for you girls. As I think I’ve told you before, I’m in med school and stuff was getting kind of hectic so I had to do nerdy stuff. Well, now I have 3 days to review tones of stuff requested by all of my wonderful readers. Today, I’m reviewing the MOR cosmetics lip delight in peach nectar. These little pots of lip balm retail for $14 from morcosmetics.com. I’ve used this product for about 2-3 weeks now and I have to say that I love it to death. Keep reading to read my review on it.

Pro(s):

-Very lightweight.

-Very compact and easy to carry around!

-Very moisturizing and smells great!

-Last for about 4 hours!

Con(s):

-Too thin consistency!

-No cons!

Overall review: I just love this. I would say that this product is a better smelling and thinner in consistency than Vaseline. It smells divine and it moisturized really good for me. I had super chapped lips for the past week (until I exfoliated them with my Chap Stick and then rubbing my lips on my sleeve to get rid of dead skin cells) and this seemed to relieve it. It’s a bit too thin in consistency and would work well as a base for any lip product. I would recommend this to anyone who loves lip balm. Maybe I should recommend this to Balmaholic. She definitely is going to like this. Enjoy the review!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes definitely!

Review: Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. It retails for $45. You can get it from juicbeauty.com. It smells a lot like rotten apple, but a bit better. It’s not a sweet smell or anything. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-It balanced out my skin.
-Its reasonable priced.
-It leaves my skin nice a dewy.

Con(s):
-It’s a bit hard to take off.

Overall review: I really like this peel. It’s easier to use than any other peel I’ve ever used. Since I use it once a week, my skin looks like it went down a shade because of all the dead skin build up that was exfoliated by the peel. When I said that it balanced out my skin it got rid of the oily patches of skin and the dry patches of skin. Everything is even now. The size is very portable and when I recently went on a cruise, it helped me to exfoliate my skin prior to tanning. I really liked it. Thanks to Rebecca for requesting it. I hope you enjoy sweetie!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yup, I hope to get another one in the near future!

Press Release: Lush Colour Supplement

Hey girlies! Again, I know, I know another press release! I’m just addicted to having the latest releases because they rock and I get a brilliant response from you people for it. Lush is deciding to take the makeup road and they are releasing in the UK. Basically, they’re like these little pots with something that looks thick and it’s like a tinted moisturizer. You can mix it in with your normal moisturize and stuff like that. I personally will most likely go and snag one of these online maybe. I don’t think you get much product and they retail for about $9 since its 7.99 Euros. Thanks to the Muse for the wonderful and informative post! These look amazing; I hope you really enjoy it.

Press Release: Philosophy Wild Blackberry Blossom Body Lotion and Shower gel

I’m just obsessed with Philosophy now days, ever since my cousin let me use her hope in a jar. Today, I come to you with another Philosophy press release and boy am I loving every moment of it. Philosophy likes tempting people with their mind blowing shower gel and lotion duos that come in such cute packaging with huge amounts of the Philosophy goodness. I’m very excited about this duo in particular and it’s called Wild Blackberry Blossom. I actually have a shade close to the purple shown here on my nails today. Again, thanks to the Muse for putting up a post, I’m able to share this with all of you. Basically, today I will be writing up a lot of press releases. Maybe even a review if I feel like it but overall I’m so excited about the spring and summer. It’s been snowing like crazy here and my friend’s niece didn’t have to go to school. She’s also a makeup addict but doesn’t wear much of it because I tell her that she still has good skin and she shouldn’t ruin it yet unless she really needs it. Now, other than my life jibber jabber, let’s go to the prices of these products. The shower gel costs $16 and the lotion costs $24. I really like the price of the shower gel and might even end up snagging it. It’s currently available at Nordstrom. Enjoy!

Press Release: Philosophy Rasberries and Cream Shower Gel and Lotion

Hey girls, I apologize for not doing a post forever. Well, I have something today that will definitely give you sweet dreams, but on top of that, your dreams will be extra flirty. This is because Philosophy has a QVC only duo of a shower gel and lotion. It’s called Philosophy Raspberries and Cream Shower gel and Body Lotion. I looked at it and fell in love. The picture credit goes to the Muse for her wonderful post. This retails for about $34 in a duo which in my opinion is pretty affordable considering how much product you get in the shower gel bottle. I looked at this stuff and I got this weird excited feeling because many companies release spring and summer stuff right now to tempt me (lol)! Feel excited yourself, check it out here !
