Review: DuWop Iced Teas Lip Treatment

Hey girls! So today I will be reviewing yet another unique product. It’s the DuWop Iced Tea lip treatment. Basically they’re these lip treatments that come in a variety of tints and they all taste and smell like iced tea mixed with mint. I have the white peach iced tea and it retails for $19. You can buy it off of DuWop’s site as well as in Sephora stores and their website. I think it’s definitely worth praise and you probably will too after reading my review!

Overall review: I absolutely love this product. I don’t understand why DuWop doesn’t get enough recognition for their products. Well, I can safely say that this product is worth buying. It’s a lip treatment that tastes good, smells good, and moisturizes well. I think that anyone looking for a good lip primer will like this. Even though it’s not officially a lip primer, it’s just as good. When used on its own you get a nice glossy finish. I hope all of you enjoy my review and thanks for reading!

Review: Softlips Pure 100% Natral Hydrating Lip Butter

Hey girls! Sorry for the obnoxiously long break (5-6 days), but I just had tons and tons going on. Well, that timeframe gave me the chance to test out more products. Well, since we’re transitioning from summer to fall very soon, the weather will definitely dry out your lips. I know that every time I go to California, my lips get super dry. So, the one product that I’ve been swearing by lately is the new Softlips Vanilla Berry Lip butter. This is a new product from their recent 100% natural line. It can be found at almost all drugstores for an affordable price of $5. Keep reading for my thoughts on this product!

-It’s really moisturizing, clear, and gives of sheen.

Overall review: I think the fact that it comes in a squeeze is really attracting about this product. It’s also conveniently found at all drugstores and is thus easily accessible. I just love that it’s like a paste instead of a solid butter in a jar (like Korres lip butter). It’s really good for germophobes who hate to dig their dirty fingers in pots or jars of product. It’s great to use under your lipstick/gloss as it keeps more moisture in. A crazy thought after seeing my swatch photo was that this product looks a bit like sperm to me. Review: Smith's Strawberry Lip Balm and Moisturizer

Hey girls! How many times have I done a lip balm review? 5 times? Well, whatever the number, you can probably tell I’m obsessed with lip balms, so when I got the chance to try out Smith’s Strawberry Lip balm and Moisturizer, I was ecstatic. So here’s the low down on this product. It retails for $7 from Sephora’s site and their stores. You can also find it in select Bath and Body Works stores. Pro(s):
-It works great as its original use as a lip balm (moisturizes well) and works great as a body moisturizer (minus the face).
-It smells great; exactly like strawberries in my opinion.
-Its affordable and can be conveniently found in almost any mall you go to.
-Smooth to apply and isn’t too soft or thick in consistency.

Con(s):
-It’s packaged in a tin.

Overall review: I think that overall this is a great lip moisturizer. It does the job with no hassle. The only thing is that germophobes might be really picky about using this product because it is in a tin and you have to dig your fingers in it whenever you use it. I personally don’t mind that, but other girls might. I think it’s the cutest thing to carry around in your purse for quick boosts of moisture. Even though it has petrolatum, it didn’t dry my lips after the product sank in.

Mini-Reviews: Supergoop Products

Have any of you ever heard of affordable sunscreen wipes? Maybe non-greasy face sunscreen? How about lip balm with a high sunscreen that doesn’t stink? Well, I’ve found a brand which sells products with a high SPF and they doesn’t smell, have a greasy feel, or a drying feeling. It’s called Supergoop. I know what you’re thinking “Wait GOOP?”. Yeah, well don’t worry; you won’t be applying goop on your lips. Supergoop sells lip balm, sunscreen for the face and body, and sunscreen wipes as well as bug spray. Their products are practical but have high SPF. Today I’ll be reviewing their face and body moisturizer, lip balm, and sunscreen wipes. They can conveniently be found on their site, at Sephora stores and Sephora’s site. You’ll be amazed at how unique these products are!

My review (by product):



-Supergoop SPF 30 Wintermint Pocket stick: It’s sold in packs of four for $19. It glides on like butter, provided a sufficient amount of moisture to my lips without being greasy or too slippery. It’s easy to carry around and won’t be inconvenient to carry around. It stays on my lips for about 3 hours and leaves a good amount of moisture in my lips. It leaves them smooth and then it’s easier to apply any lip product. I use it to prime my lips in the morning.



-Supergoop SPF 30+ Sunscreen Wipes with Zinc for Sensitive Skin: This is the only kind of sunscreen wipes they have and the one for sensitive is for all skin types. You can get a pack of 40 wipes for $34 which comes out to 85 cents a wipe. They have enough moisture in them that they can be used on four people’s arms and legs. It doesn’t leave a wacky residue that isn’t too uncomfortable so you won’t feel much discomfort.


-Supergoop SPF 30+ Everyday face and Body Moisturizer: This moisturizer comes in a slim tube which contains 1.6 fl oz. of product for $12. This is one of the practical products in this line. It’s ultra moisturizing and worked on all of my clients with different types of skin. It has UVA and UVB protection and can be used every day. I think this product is the most affordable product that’s so amazing. You only need a little bit and it absorbs in almost instantaneously. It works great on oily skin too because it’s water resistant. It smells good and isn’t greasy feeling like normal sunscreens. This has t be my favorite product from this line.

Review: Smith's Rosebud Salve

Does anyone remember MAC’s Naked Honey collection? Didn’t everyone just go Gaga over the salve? Well, what if you could find a better slave for half the price. I had the chance to try out the Smith’s Rosebud Salve recently and I’ve got to say, I think I’ve fallen in love. It can be found on Sephora’s website as well as Bath and Body Works Stores ($5.99) and Sephora stores/counters ($6 for .8 oz.). It’s been a favorite of people since 1892, so I knew I had to try it. Let’s see how it worked out for me!


Pro(s):
-Very moisturizing, non-sticky, and soft to apply.
-Cute tin which stores tons of product.
-Affordable at just $6 a pop.
-Smells great (like roses) and is multi-purpose to use all over the body (minus the face).

Overall review: I actually really like this product. After seeing mixed reviews on this product, I decided to give it a chance. The tin will definitely not leak unless it’s like 100 degree weather and its melting. It’s relatively soft compared to their strawberry lip balm (review coming soon). I personally love carrying this in my purse, but it’s small enough to fit in your pocket. I use it on my lips, ankles, and elbows. Those are the driest spots on my body. I think everyone should have one of these. Even my boyfriend secretly uses this (he doesn’t want to be caught using a girly product LOL). I had some Honeycat Cosmetics’ products for a while now that I wanted to share the quality and everything with you, but was too lazy to make different posts about. So today, I’m targeting all of those products and reviewing every product. My review (by product):
-Rub My Tummy, Milk and Honey Hand and Body Cream: This retails for $12 for 6 oz and comes housed in a medium sized tub. It’s very thin in consistency, absorbs quickly, and eaves your hands feeling hydrated, soft, smooth, and smelling sweet like honey mainly. I have no complaints about it and I think it’s worth the $12.



-Chick of the Sea Foaming Bath Crystals: These come in a tin (like the tins that anchovies or sardines come in) and retails for $10. It’s supposed to be one time use, but I’ve saved it up and used it in 2 separate baths. They foam up really nicely in warm water and contain essential oils that leave my skin feeling soft and moisturized. I just wish that for the price, they gave more product.



-Whisker Slicker I’m in Heat Lip Balm: This lip balm comes in a chap stick-like container and retails for $6. It smells like cinnamon and tastes sweet. It really moisturizes your lips since they’re so much vitamin E in it. It feels warm and sort of tingling on your lips when you first apply, but it eventually subsides. I think that this is by far the best product I’ve ever tried by them!



-Frisky Kitty Bath Time Fizzy (bath bombs): One bath bomb is $10 and they have four different scents from oatmeal to rose and lemongrass. You are supposed to use on bath bomb per bath, but I cut it in half and I get two uses out of it. It has lots of essential oil and smells great so it moisturizes while giving you a calming spa experience.

Mini-Reviews: Face Atelier Shadow, Primers, and Highlighters

Hey girls! Today I will yet be doing another one of my mini-reviews series. The mini-reviews series focuses on products that I sent a sample jar or a very tiny amount of. Since you don’t get to see packaging or anything, I will not devote an entire review to these products. Today we have 4 products from Face Atelier cosmetics. One is their Lip Putty, next is their Ultra sheer highlighter in peach, then is their T-gel, and finally is their loose eye shadow in 6 which is a dark brown color with olive green duo chrome as you move.

My review (by product):
-Ultra sheer highlighter in peach: This isn’t too sheer and its color is quite buildable. I actually don’t have anything bad to say about it. It’s nice a dewy for the summer. I use it on my cheek bones and my cupids bow. The peach shade is in the picture and the one below it is the highlighter but blended out.

-Loose shadow in 6: This shade is really pretty since it has a duo chrome, but it would look off in the crease as this tends off to give two shades so if you have a light beige shade on your lid and you want to do a neutral look, don’t use this in the crease since it will look olive green in the light. It has a lot of fallout so I think this is best for the night as it would look nice in pics. Also, its best used wet.

-Lip putty: This lip putty is meant for being like a lip primer. It has the consistency of a lip balm, but clear, thick, and matte. It filled in the cracks in my lips before I applied my lipsticks and I’ve got to say that the lipstick glided on really easily. It doesn’t have an odor either.
-T-gel: This gel is not too thin or thick in consistency. It’s meant for your T-zone and it definitely mattifes that area and reduced the size of my pores. Although, people allergic to silicone might not like this product.

Overall review: This product is very thick and sort of sticky but glides on like a dream on your lips. It’s best to use before bed so your lips and soft, supple, and hydrated in the morning. I use a tiny amount on my lips to prime them before I use my lipstick and lip balm. It helps them adhere to a base and stay on. Review: Motives Cosmetics Lipstick

Overall review: I really like this lipstick. It’s really moisturizing. It feels like wearing a lip balm, but its uber pigmented. The cool thing it that it cost just as much as a MAC lipstick does and is better quality that nay of the MAC formulas of lipsticks. Review: Zosimos Botanicals Take Along Lip Therapy and Minipot Lip balm

The reason I’m reviewing them both together is because one is a pot form of the lip balm and the lip balm is the balm for of the pot. They have the same exact formula. Overall review: I really love this lip balm and pot lip balm. They both are great to travel with and are very moisturizing. I find that these work best as a primer to my lip product because it seals in the moisture and makes my lip glosses appear less sticky. This would be best for using under your MAC lipglasses. Review: My Lip Stuff Lip balm

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing the My lip Stuff Lip balms. I have three of them. They are in the following flavors: Jelly Doughnut, Coconut Lime, and Rainbow Sherbet. These retail for $2.50 a tube. They also sell bath and body fragrances, but they are most well known for these products. Overall review: I really like these lip balms. They’re best for using under my lip products and you get so much moisture with one swipe on the top lip and bottom lip. Review: EOS Sphere Lip Balm

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing the EOS (Evolution of Smooth) Sphere Lip balm. This can range anywhere from $2-$2.99 at all drugstores in the U.S. as far as I know as well as Target and Wal-Mart. The one I have is in Summer Fruit. It smells a lot like fruit punch but not as sugar. It’s clear and looks completely matte on your lips. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Overall review: This is probably the most smooth lip balm I’ve ever used. It’s so smooth and not sticky or anything. For example, if the wind was blowing, my hair wouldn’t stick to my lips if they were open. It’s best as a primer for your lips before using a lip product. It lasts for about 3 hours before having to reapply. It’s so compact that I can take it anywhere with me. I hope all of you enjoyed this review and thanks to Dana for requesting it!

Review: MOR Cosmetics Lip Delight

Hey girls! Sorry for not being able to do any reviews or any updates for you girls. As I think I’ve told you before, I’m in med school and stuff was getting kind of hectic so I had to do nerdy stuff. Well, now I have 3 days to review tones of stuff requested by all of my wonderful readers. Today, I’m reviewing the MOR cosmetics lip delight in peach nectar. These little pots of lip balm retail for $14 from morcosmetics.com. I’ve used this product for about 2-3 weeks now and I have to say that I love it to death. Keep reading to read my review on it.

Overall review: I just love this. I would say that this product is a better smelling and thinner in consistency than Vaseline. It smells divine and it moisturized really good for me. I had super chapped lips for the past week (until I exfoliated them with my Chap Stick and then rubbing my lips on my sleeve to get rid of dead skin cells) and this seemed to relieve it. It’s a bit too thin in consistency and would work well as a base for any lip product. I would recommend this to anyone who loves lip balm. Maybe I should recommend this to Balmaholic. She definitely is going to like this. Enjoy the review!

Small Mall Haul!

Hi girls, so today I went to the mall and picked up a few items. I was mainly exploring MAC today because nothing really caught my eye. I checked out the Colour Forecast collection (finally) and I felt that everything was just poorly pigmented. I also checked out the Riveting collection and this collection is the exactly the opposite. I actually swatched the blush and it was like crazy pigmented. I was also looking at the tiny pigment jars. I won’t purchase pigments anymore although I have all of them. Only if they come out with more pigments in other colors I might get it. I checked out this store and they had the OPI Hong Kong Collection as well as OPI Alice in Wonderland. It got be excessively excited and I was tempted but I only has $12 on me. I did some damage at Bath and Body Work. Actually, if you call $2.50 damage then well you’re cheap. I also purchased some 99 cent products at a store called Lot-Less. That’s where I got the blush/bronzer duo that looks like Nars Orgasm/Laguna. Well, here are some pics of what I got. I ran into a couple of friends from middle school, but I didn’t say hi or anything. It was kind of rude, but that’s me! Enjoy!

Review: Evolution of Smooth (EOS) Lipbalm Stick

Hey girls! Once again I come to you with a review. I’m reviewing a lip balm and this one is by a company called Evolution of Smooth (EOS) in Vanilla and these lip balms have started popping up at recently many drugstores like Rite Aid and Duane Reade. I’ve seen them at many places for $2.99-$3.99, but they could always be for more or less. Keep reading for more information!

Pros:
-Makes my lips very smooth.
-You get a lot of product for what you pay for.
-Long lasting moisture.
-Good lip balm to prime your lips before applying lipstick/lip gloss.
-Its organic (paraben free/petrolatum free).

Con(s):
-Absorbs into lips very fast so you have to keep on reapplying.

Overall review: I’d have to say that this is one of the lip balms that I use on a daily basis. The packaging is completely simple and neutral, but the product inside it wows me. It is just very smooth. The scent I have it in is vanilla and its smells like it but on top of that it also faintly tastes like it. I like the fact that it is paraben free and also petrolatum free because petrolatum is the product in Chap Stick and other lip balms that makes you lips moisturized artificially but after the product has worn away, your lips are left feeling tremendously dry. That’s what I like about this product. I hope you enjoyed this review!
