Hey girls! Today I will yet be doing another one of my mini-reviews series. The mini-reviews series focuses on products that I sent a sample jar or a very tiny amount of. Since you don’t get to see packaging or anything, I will not devote an entire review to these products. Today we have 4 products from Face Atelier cosmetics. One is their Lip Putty, next is their Ultra sheer highlighter in peach, then is their T-gel, and finally is their loose eye shadow in 6 which is a dark brown color with olive green duo chrome as you move.
My review (by product):
-Ultra sheer highlighter in peach: This isn’t too sheer and its color is quite buildable. I actually don’t have anything bad to say about it. It’s nice a dewy for the summer. I use it on my cheek bones and my cupids bow. The peach shade is in the picture and the one below it is the highlighter but blended out.
-Loose shadow in 6: This shade is really pretty since it has a duo chrome, but it would look off in the crease as this tends off to give two shades so if you have a light beige shade on your lid and you want to do a neutral look, don’t use this in the crease since it will look olive green in the light. It has a lot of fallout so I think this is best for the night as it would look nice in pics. Also, its best used wet.
-Lip putty: This lip putty is meant for being like a lip primer. It has the consistency of a lip balm, but clear, thick, and matte. It filled in the cracks in my lips before I applied my lipsticks and I’ve got to say that the lipstick glided on really easily. It doesn’t have an odor either.
-T-gel: This gel is not too thin or thick in consistency. It’s meant for your T-zone and it definitely mattifes that area and reduced the size of my pores. Although, people allergic to silicone might not like this product.
Rating (by product):
-Ultra sheer highlighter: 10/10 :)
-Loose shadow: 8/10
-Lip putty: 10/10 :)
-T-gel: 8/10
Would I recommend any of these? : Yup, definitely go and get the lip putty and
highlighter.

Review: Hourglass Cosmetics Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15
Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing the Hourglass Cosmetics Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15. It basically a mineral based primer without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic dyes and fragrances and sulfates. It retails for $52 from Sephora.com, hourglasscosmetics.com, Sephora stores, and other various boutiques. You get 1 oz. of product.
Pro(s):
-Very moisturizing and doesn’t grease up my face.
-Prevents my foundation from oxidizing and helps it lasts at least 7 hours.
-Conveniently packaged in a frosted glass, pump vial.
-Its water resistant and a little bit goes a long way.
-It mattifes my skin instantly and fills in fine lines.
Con(s):
-Weird blue undertone.
-Expensive for a little bit of product.
Overall review: I just love this product. It’s the best primer I’ve ever tried. There is really nothing bad about it. There’s everything in this product that you would want from a primer except for its cost and the weird blue undertone you get when you blend it in. I think it’s there to neutralize any dullness or redness from your skin tone and just create a flawless looking face for foundation application. It helps my blush last really long and that’s what I absolutely love about it. In the picture you cannot see the blue undertone. Actually it not that bad once you blend it out. The thing that actually bothers me is its price. I know that I wouldn’t be able to live with myself knowing that I bought a $52 primer. I still would’ve understood if it was a foundation but a PRIMER! Well, overall I love it and I suggest buying it because you don’t really need that much to do your entre face. A little bit will last you a really long time.
Rating: 9.5/10
Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I plan on purchasing another one as soon as I’m done!

Review: Senna Cosmetics Silky Face Primer
Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Senna Cosmetics Silky Face Primer. It retails from various boutiques and sennacosmetics.com for $38. It a pink/blue tinted primer to fill in lines/pores/wrinkles and creates a smooth base to apply foundation and other face products. Keep reading to hear what my thoughts are on this product.
Pro(s):
-Smells good.
-Very moisturizing.
-The pink tint in the product brightens my face in the morning.
-It helps my makeup glide on like butter and blend easier.
-Smoothes out your face.
-Makes you makeup last over 6 hours.
Con(s):
-Too many shimmers that get on my nerves.
Overall review: Not including the glitter ball situation (that happened after using the primer on its own by accident), I really like this product because it’s very silky but oily too. It leaves my skin dewy, but can be transformed into matte. The thing I was talking about of the glitter ball was that I used some of it on its own because I was going outside and I looked like a disco ball, but after you put foundation on top of it, the shimmers tend to be toned down. I just love this product and I’ve already ordered another one. It’s actually one of their bestselling items. I hope you enjoyed this review and whoever requested this review: here it is!
Rating: 9/10
Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I want to purchase another one soon.

Review: Benefit Beauty To Go Bestseller Set
Hey girls! I’m reviewing the Benefit Beauty To Go Bestsellers Set that I purchased from Sephora.com. They were having a sale and I got this kit from $10. It was exclusive for the New Year celebration. It comes with a mini version of their all time bestselling Foundation Faker, Posietint, Thatgal Brightening Face Primer, and High beam highlighter. It’s not available anymore, but you can always find it on eBay. Keep reading for more information!
Pros:
-Nice mini traveled size products.
-The foundation faker gives medium coverage and is universal.
-The posie tint cheek stain lasts really long. After that swatch, it still hasn’t come after the swatch.
-The highlighter works perfectly and blends really well. It reflects light off and it makes my nose higher as well as my cheek bones.
-The primer smoothes my face and smells like strawberries.
Con(s):
-The foundation faker doesn’t provide much coverage.
Overall review: I really like the entire set an even if it’s not still available; you can still purchase the items separately. I love all the products but my only complaint is that the foundation faker doesn’t give enough coverage. Personally I don’t need much coverage but my sister does and this didn’t work for her.
Rating: 10/10
Is it VICKY approved? : Definitely!

Review: L'oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub
So, have you ever been in that situation where you’re looking at a cleanser in the drugstore and you think “Yeah like that’s supposed to deep clean”. Well think again. This post will be introducing the newest innovation in cleansing (from the drugstore). I was at Rite Aid a couple of days ago and I was looking around in the front of the makeup section where the new releases are and I was amazed to find quite a lot of awesome things. Now, I’m the type of person who does a lot of research before investing even 7 bucks into a makeup cleanser/remover or a makeup products and this was the biggest and best find since. L’Oreal has released many new products for spring 2010 and they have just started showing themselves in the retail world. Now, I saw the roll on foundation, a primer, and a cleanser from L’Oreal. Today I will be reviewing the L’Oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub with the Scrublet. I am very excited and I will be purchasing more products from the new releases as said in the beginning so expect reviews of those within a week or so. I picked up the L’Oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub with the Scrublet for review and also since I had heard a lot of buzz about this products from bloggers from the UK, I thought I might as well try it out for myself and give you girls (and guys) my honest opinion on it. It retails from major drugstores and major online stores anywhere from $6.99-$7.99. I got it for $7.19 which pretty reasonable for an amazing product. Keep reading to see why this product amazed me so much.
Pros:
-It literally gets into those pores and gets the blackheads and oils out of there.
-It smells great; a lot like the St Ives Apricot Scrub.
-The little Scrublet is amazing.
-A pea sized amount goes a long way.
-Definitely a bang for your buck.
-Love the cute packaging.
-Good for traveling.
-It minimize pore size.
-It leaves my skin feeling smoother and softer; no more roughness from flaking.
Cons:
-Not good for sensitive skin since the exfoliating beads are very abrasive.
-May over exfoliate and leave raw skin as well as irritate skin.
Overall review: Since I am a sucker for packaging, I really liked this. It was cute and very compact. It’s also nice for traveling as the Scrublet pops back into the hole in the bottle. The first time I used it although, I scribed too hard and my skin started hurting and stinging. My cheek area looked like it was over exfoliated and turned red so for those of you who have issue with that, you might want to use the version for sensitive skin. The beads for exfoliating could be very abrasive at times, but overall I like the job it done. I have a lot of black heads on my nose, and this got rid of them.
Would I purchase it again? : Yes; I think I’ll go and buy another one when they are on clearance sale.
Rating: 9.5/10
Packaging: 10/10 Amazing!
Is it VICKY approved? : Yes!

Review: Elizabeth Arden Good Morning Skin Serum
Hi girls, today I’m reviewing the Elizabeth Arden Good Morning Skin Serum. It retails for $34 from Elizabetharden.com, Elizabeth Arden counters, selected boutiques, and from online counters. It’s basically a silicone based primer to prime and smooth your face before you apply moisturizer or any face makeup. Keep reading for more information.
Pros:
-Moisturizing.
-Very silky.
-It actually fills in lines and pores to smooth it before foundation or moisturizer application.
-A little bit goes a long way.
Con(s):
-It a bit on the pricey side, but it lasts you a while!
Overall review: Since its allergy tested and I have sensitive skin, I wasn’t hesitant to use this product. It works on all types of skin and one of my clients had very rough skin and I exfoliated it and used this to prime before moisturizing and foundation application and her makeup went on very smoothly. Since it was her wedding day, I didn’t even have to touch up once, not including when I touched up her lipstick and powder before the reception. This product is very universal and it’ll be the best $34 you every spend. A pea sized amount does your entire face with some left over. I normally just use it where I have laugh lines and my T-zone because I don’t need it anywhere else. I hope you enjoyed this review.
Would I purchase it again? : Yes!
Rating: 10/10
Packaging: 10/10 Frosted glass bottle with a pump.
Is it VICKY approved? : Yes!
