Review: Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Hey girls! So the holidays are just around the corner and what is a better way to celebrate than giving the girl/woman of your life Lush’s Snow Fairy Shower Gel. This shower gel came out last year too as part of Lush’s holiday collection and it sold out like hot cakes. Well this year, for all of you who missed out on it last year, here is your chance to grab it this year. The 3.3 fl oz. size retails for $8.95, the 8.4 fl oz. size retails for $16.95, and the 16.9 fl oz. size costs $24.95. These gels can be found at Lush counters, Lush stores, and Lush online. Keep reading to see what I think about this product!

Pro(s):
-Smells great and doesn’t irritate skin.
-Moisturizes well and is vegan.
-Foams up really well.

Con(s):
-None found while the testing of this product was conducted!

Overall review: I guess since this product is so well know, there is nothing to complain. It is absolutely amazing and really goes smelling. There really isn’t anything special about this product other than that it smells great (like sugared bubblegum) and works amazingly. There isn’t anything bad about this. It moisturizes my skin and doesn’t leave it dry. It also has cute glitter in it (not too chunky or anything). If you dig sugar scents and want a pick me up for the winter then this is something worth investing in. Thanks for reading and more posts coming soon!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Hell yeah; if you love bubblegum and all things girl then this shower gel is for you!

Review: Britney Spears' Midnight Fantasy Eau De Parfum

Hey girls! I am finally back and I have already started reviewing many inexpensive and amazing products. Well, one of them is Britney Spears’ Midnight Fantasy Eau De Parfum. Over the weekend, I made my way to the outlets and went to the Elizabeth Arden outlet. They had many Elizabeth Arden cosmetics as well as most perfumes under their banner for sale there. I found many Britney Spears, Juicy Couture, and Mariah Carey perfumes there. Now, I’ve heard many rumors stating that the Midnight Fantasy fragrance is discontinued and was limited edition but I’m not 100% sure. I got the 1.7 oz. size and originally it is $47 but the outlet price was $35 and I got 20% off of that too so it cost me approximately $27.50. That is an amazing deal for a very pricey and designer fragrance. Well, keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Scent Description: When you first spray it, you get a mix of musk, fruit, and sugar. As the perfume dries down, you mainly smell vanilla amber and lots of fruity goodness. I’d have to say that the fruit is black cherry or plum.

Packaging: The box is dark blue and purple with the name written across it in silver. The bottle is a circular, dark blue globe shaped bottle with gems on it.

Wear time: Unfortunately this product only lasts about 6 hours before you cannot smell it at all.

Overall review: I think that if you really like fruity and sweet perfumes, this one is for you. I’ve heard that this fragrance is made for romantic wear but I’ve worn it during the day and night and I got lots of compliments on it. It’s actually amazing and if you love celebrity fragrances then this is a must have. Well, I hope all of you enjoyed and this may be a really good perfume to get the lady in your life ha-ha!

Recommendation: If you love really fruity fragrances by celebrities then here is your chance to get a really affordable perfume!

Review: Mariah Carey Luscious Pink Eau De Parfum Spray

Hey girls! So yet again for the millionth time today, I’m reviewing a fragrance. After my really good experience with Mariah Carey’s Lollipop Bling fragrances I decided to venture out and try more of Mariah Carey’s perfumes. This time I tried her Luscious Pink fragrance. It released a year or two ago and since then has won the hearts of fragrance lovers everywhere. They have 2 sizes available and the 3.4 fl oz. fragrance retails for $65 from many department stores. I personally love it and keep reading to see why!

Scent Description: When you first spray it, you get an explosion of sweet peony mixed with musky sandalwood. After the dry down you smell the peony except the muskiness of it is a little turned down and it’s a bit sweeter.

Packaging: This perfume is housed in a pink box with Mariah Carey’s picture on it and a picture of the bottle on it. The actual box though is light pink with the name of the fragrance written on it. The perfume bottle itself is just like the bottle for the lollipop bling fragrances except this one is pink with a pink plastic butterfly cap.

Wear time: This scent wears for about 8 hours before being completely worn away.

Overall review: I think the only reason I like this fragrance so much is because I am a hardcore fruity floral fragrance lover. I also admire the packaging but I care a little bit more about what is inside the bottle. I like this fragrance but it’s more of the conservative type. It wouldn’t be casually appropriate thus being the perfect feminine scent for work. I think that every working woman needs this perfume. Since I do my rotation no I desperately needed a scent like this. Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a great day!

Recommendation: If you need a conservative scent then I would definitely recommend this!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Review: CHI Silk Infusion Hair Serum

Hey girls! Sometimes I think I don’t review enough hair products. So recently I got the chance to try an infamous hair serum by CHI. It is their Silk Infusion hair serum. Now, I straighten my hair a lot and many times I’m scared of damage happening to my hair so ever since I started using this, my hair felt healthier, stronger, and smoother. This bottle was the one that I found at Misikko.com for $12.99 for the 2 oz. size. They also sell CHI flat irons, professional hair dryers, and many more hair products. Keep reading to see what I think about this product!

Pro(s):
-It makes my hair smell good and not feel dry.
-It helps hair stay flat and not standing up.
-It protects against the heat of many styling products!

Con(s):
-None found while the testing of this product was conducted!

Overall review: I absolutely love this product! I don’t feel any dryness in my hair after I use the straightening iron. Normally near the parting of my hair I have random stray hairs coming out and with this serum it calms all of that and it all stays sleek and nice. It also protects your hair from heated styling tools. I think that’s a good thing because sometimes I see smoke coming from the iron when I’m straightening my hair and it scares me a bit sometimes. I think that anyone who uses hair tools on a daily basis should really get it. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth the money. Thanks for reading girls and I hope you all have a great day!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes; if you don’t want straw like hair after using any hair tools!

Review: SKIN1 By Dr. Gram Clarifying Cleanser

Hey girls! So lately I feel like I’m reviewing a lot of stuff that’s skin related. Well, I can’t help but pay attention to products that help me clear my skin. I recently got the chance to try out a product by Dr. Gram. He’s a pharmacist with his own skincare line. They make cleansers, toners, masks, and moisturizers which help different skin types maintain their skin. I tried the clarifying cleanser which is meant to gently clean skin and over time fade blemishes. It retails for $34 off of their website. Keep reading to see my thoughts on it!

Pro(s):
-This cleanser smells like lavender which isn’t too heavy of a scent.
-It doesn’t dry out my skin and prevents my break outs.
-I do think that some of my blemishes have faded.

Con(s):
-It may dry out your skin if you have dry skin.

Overall review: I think that this is a wonderful cleanser if you have a lot of acne blemishes. I personally think it’s best for normal to oily skin. Maybe dry skinned people might feel that this dries their skin up a bit. I do think it’s good for the summer time, but for the winter it may dry out your skin. I love that it doesn’t have any parabens or sulfates. I like everything about this product because it’s amazing. Thanks for reading and I appreciate all of your support!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : If you don’t have dry skin and want to get rid of blemishes then I would recommend this for you!

Review: Bodycology Body Cream

Hey girls! So lately since the season transition is starting, my skin feels like it chafes a lot after I take a shower. Maybe it’s me using plain old body soap instead of anything awesome so I really need a good moisturizer to use after I shower. Today I will be reviewing the Bodycology Body Cream. It retails for $5.49 and you can buy it from many drugstores as well as online. Keep reading to see my review on this product!

Pro(s):
-It’s really moisturizing without being too greasy.
-It absorbs really fast and isn’t too thick feeling.
-Its smells good, make a wide range of scents, and won’t irritate sensitive noses.

Con(s):
-None found while the testing of this product was conducted!

Overall review: I absolutely think that the Bodycology brand is an amazing dupe for Bath and Body Works except cheaper. This product is $5.49 and the Bath and Body Work one is $10 so which one would you choose. I absolutely love this and it works really nicely. The moisture lasts me all day and doesn’t soap up when on contact with water. I suggested this to a few of my best friends and all of them loved it. Thanks to Kristal for requesting this review and I hope all of you find it very helpful!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes; it’s amazing as an after shower moisturizer without being too greasy!

Review: Britney Spears Radiance Eau De Parfum

Hi girls! So apparently I wasn’t updated to the fragrance world until now and I wasn’t aware that a new fragrance releases every month. So some new releases this month include Juicy Couture’s Peace, Love, and Juicy as well as Britney Spears Radiance perfume. Today I will be reviewing the Britney Spears Radiance perfume. The bottle I have is the 1.7 oz. one and the 3.3 fl. oz. bottle retails for $59.50. You can find it at Macy’s as well as many other department stores. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Scent Description: When you first spray it you smell a mix of berries with some hints of floral-ness. After the dry down, you get notes of musky vanilla and amber.

Packaging: This product is packaged in a silver holographic rectangular box bordered with jewels and the name of the perfume is written in the middle. The perfume itself is housed in a rectangular perfume bottle with jewels embedded into the bottle. The color scheme gears towards pink and blue.

Wear time: The perfume wears for about 6 hours before it is completely faded away.

Overall review: I think that this perfume is perfect in every way. It’s actually good for many ages. My 45 year old mother wore this and a woman actually complemented her. I thought it was too overrated for teens but actually it correctly defines a teen; fruity and fun! It does have a sophisticated edge to it which makes it wearable for other ages other than teens. Thanks to Bubu for requesting this review and I’m glad I can help all of you make choices for perfumes!

Recommendation: If you love fruity floral scents then this one is for you!

Review: DuWop Iced Teas Lip Treatment

Hey girls! So today I will be reviewing yet another unique product. It’s the DuWop Iced Tea lip treatment. Basically they’re these lip treatments that come in a variety of tints and they all taste and smell like iced tea mixed with mint. I have the white peach iced tea and it retails for $19. You can buy it off of DuWop’s site as well as in Sephora stores and their website. I think it’s definitely worth praise and you probably will too after reading my review!

Pro(s):
-Very sanitary in stick form and tastes good.
-Very moisturizing and good to use as a base for any lip product.
-It smoothes out the lines on my lips and the scent isn’t too heavy or disturbing.

Con(s):
-None found while the testing of this product was conducted!

Overall review: I absolutely love this product. I don’t understand why DuWop doesn’t get enough recognition for their products. Well, I can safely say that this product is worth buying. It’s a lip treatment that tastes good, smells good, and moisturizes well. I think that anyone looking for a good lip primer will like this. Even though it’s not officially a lip primer, it’s just as good. When used on its own you get a nice glossy finish. I hope all of you enjoy my review and thanks for reading!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yup, if you’re willing to shell out $19 for a good lip treatment.

Review: Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling Mine Again Eau De Parfum Spray

Hi girls! So out of the Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling Fragrance Trilogy, I left the best for last which is Mine Again. It’s the boldest one and I thought some of you might have fun with it. Like all of the other fragrances in the lollipop bling collection, this one also retails for $35 for an ounce of perfume. They can be found on Elizabeth Arden's website (link in the side bar). They are currently only sold at Macy’s Stores, but will be available before Valentine’s Day in drugstores. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Scent Description: When you first spray it, you immediately smell blood orange. After the dry down, you smell blood orange, chocolate with raspberries, and some hints of vanilla. Towards the end when the fragrances is almost faded away, it smells like musky vanilla.

Packaging: This fragrance is housed in a red and blue box with holographic images of lollipops and candy. The bottle itself is a glass bottle tinted red with a plastic butterfly top.

Wear time: This wore for 8 hours on me before it was completely worn away.

Overall review: I think that out of the entire Mariah Carey, this one is my least favorite. I still love it to death and if I was stuck on an island, I would want all three with me, but this one is more for a night out. If you’re able to pull off such bold fragrances during the day, then this one would be a favorite of yours. It’s not day appropriate; it is better for a night out or to go clubbing with your hubby. I personally wore this to my cousin’s house one day and my uncle asked “Who is going to the club here?”. I totally cracked up, but then I realized that it’s more of a night scent. Thanks to Leila for requesting this review and I hope all of you enjoyed!

Recommendation: If you love bold fragrances then this one’s for you!

Review: Bodycology Rich & Creamy Body Wash

Hey girls! As we all know by now, I absolutely love bath products. I always use a body wash or body gel when I shower. Soap can never do it for me. So today, I’ll be reviewing a really affordable body wash. It’s the Bodycology Rich & Creamy Body Wash in the Deep Cleansing. They have many versions available; one of which I have which is in Deep Cleansing and smells like grapefruit and oranges. They can be found at many drugstores including Walgreens, CVS, and Target at a retail price of $4.99 for 18 fl oz. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-It moisturizes my skin and deep cleanses.
-It doesn’t leave dry spots and it’s very affordable.
-It refreshes me in the morning and

Con(s):
-None found while the testing of this product was conducted!

Overall review: I think this is a great back to school buy. It’s affordable, works great, and refreshes you in the morning. I will definitely need this when I start my residency. I’ll spend my day looking at little kids and I’ll need to be refreshed and energized so I won’t incorrectly diagnose little babies. I’m not too fond of the scent because I don’t like grapefruits, but I do love oranges so it’s not much of a problem. They do have several other scents available for every nose. You don’t even need much for your entire body because it lathers really well. I hope all of you enjoyed and thanks for reading!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes; for a deep clean and awake feel, its steal for only $3.99.

Review: Boots No 7 Stay Perfect Lipstick

Hey girls! I don’t know about you but I’ve been looking into a lot of international brands lately. Out of one of them in Boots No 7 which is thankfully available at Target in the US because of my new found love with their products. I was recently introduced to the Boots No 7 Stay Perfect Lipstick. It retails for $9.99 and I have it in the shade 04 Mischief. The shade is a cool medium pink with fine shimmer. It comes packaged in a black tube with the No 7 logo in gold printed on it. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-It’s very moisturizing and opaque in 1-2 swipes.
-It glides on smoothly and stays on for 5 hours before it’s completely faded away.
-It’s great for cool skin toned people.

Con(s):
-It makes the fine lines of my lips exaggerated.

Overall review: Overall, I would have to say that’s this lipstick is a great buy. It’s really moisturizing and opaque, but select shades might not be for warm/cool skin toned people. The thing I hate about it is that if my lips aren’t exfoliated, it makes my lips looks flaky and it exaggerates the fine lines and cracks on my lips. You get plenty of product in the tube so you don’t need to apply worry if your favorite shade if used up. Well, I hope all of you enjoyed and thanks to Nisha for requesting this review!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : If you don’t mind exfoliating before using this product then go ahead and buy it!

Review: Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling Ribbon Eau De Parfum Spray

Hi girls! All of you probably know that I couldn’t resist the Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling collection and had to get all three so today I will be reviewing the second one in this collection. It is called Ribbon which is also a name of one of Mariah Carey’s songs. It retails for $35 for 1 oz. They can be found on Elizabeth Arden's website (link in the side bar). It can be found at Macy’s and next year before Valentine’s Day, it will be available at drugstores in a cutesy display with custom made ring pops. Keep reading for my thoughts on this product!

Scent Description: When I first spray it, I immediately smell raspberries and honeydew. After the dry down, I still smell those two things but with a candied vanilla twist. Towards the end, I smell vanilla and sugar crystals.

Packaging: It’s housed in a blue box. The bottle is tinted blue and towards the end of the bottle its tinted pink. The cap is a plastic blue butterfly.

Wear time: It wears on me for about 8 hours. Towards the end of the 8 hour period, it’s basically faded.

Overall review: Most of you probably can tell by the reviews on my blog that I’m a sucker for packaging and this one fit into my must have list. Since I love fruity scents (one again) and sweet scents, I absolutely love this perfume. I think I like it better than all the other scents in this lollipop collection, but I still like all of them. The other fragrance should be reviewed soon so keep on the lookout for that. It’s really wearable for anyone from the age of 13-18. It’s good for anyone under 25 too for a work day. Thanks to Sheena for requesting this review and I hope you all enjoyed!

Recommendation: If you love cute packaging and fruity scents, this one’s for you!

Review: DuWop Twilight Venom Blush

Hey girls! So as I told all of you, I saw Vampires Suck last Saturday and this Edward had more of a subtle bright lip. I’m assuming he was using the DuWop Twilight Venom Blush. It’s a more subtle version of the DuWop Twilight Venom which is a shocking red shade. This one released in the end of June 2010 and is available at Sephora stores and Sephora’s website as well as DuWop’s site. It retails for $16 for .1 oz. of product. It also has a doe foot applicator. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-It doesn’t sting and subtly plumps your lips.
-It doesn’t look as bright as red; it looks more like a hot pink.
-Its shimmery, not completely matte which I like and the payoff is great since it lasts for approximately 8 hours.
-The stain is not that drying and is really pigmented.

Con(s):
-None found while the testing of this product was conducted!

Overall review: I’ve work this every day since I got it and I’ve got to say that it was amazing. I really like it. Since I don’t use many lip stains this one really wowed me. It’s a bit pricy, but it’s not a problem because if you save up for it and make good use for it then it’s really worth the $16. If you don’t want it for plumping purposes then it’s a good product. It doesn’t plump much so I don’t think it will be that helpful for those purposes. The size of it is small so you might want to use it sparingly. I hope all of you enjoyed this review!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes; for long lasting color you will really want to get this.

Review: Advanced Beauty Tools 4 Piece Chrome Brush Set

Hey girls! Since I started this blog, I only reviewed one brush set that I really liked. Since then I haven’t yet found a brush set that I really like. It’s called the Advanced Beauty Tools Brush Set. It comes with an eye shadow brush, an angled eye liner brush, a blush brush, and a powder brush. All the bristles are NuFibre bristles (a substitution for animal hair) and the handles are chrome finished. It also comes with a brush roll. This is one of their cheaper starter kits which retails for $73.50. I’ll review each brush one by one and then I’ll review the entire set in general. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

ABT Powder Brush: This brush is ultra soft. It doesn’t shed and picks up the right amount of setting powder for full coverage without a cakey look. I absolutely love it.

ABT Blush Brush: This brush is also soft and didn’t shed. It picks up enough blush without looking overdone, but it does “soak” up most of the color so you have to

ABT Eye shadow Brush: As most of these brushes are, this also doesn’t shed and is super soft. It picks up color nicely and works amazingly.

ABT Eye liner Brush: This is probably my least favorite brush out of all of the brushes. It’s really flared out so I don’t think it would be good for precision
lining. I do like it thought, but I use it for outer corner color.

Pro(s):
-The brushes are extremely soft and didn’t shed.
-They are affordable (compared to 4 MAC brushes of the same purpose).
-You get a nice brush roll to hold all of your brushes.

Con(s):
-The brush handles are heavier than average brush handles.
-The brushes smell when you first get them (like the new shoes smell), but it goes away after a couple of washes.

Overall review: I think everything about these brushes is perfect. Their shed factor, their softness, and everything else you can think of. The only two complaints I have are that the brush handle is a bit too heavy so I can’t have control over it since its in such a weird shape and also that the brushes smell when you first get them. I don’t mind it, but people who hate the smell of new shoes might be offended by it. It’s like a rubbery scent. I feel that this is perfect for beginners who want professional quality brushes. Yes, there are other brush brands out there, but I find that these are the softest! Thanks for reading and I hope all of you enjoy!

Rating: 9/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : If you don’t want to invest too much in MAC brushes, these are comparable quality.
