Review: Senna Daily Defense Antioxidant Moisturizer SPF 15

Hey girls! So in the summer, to keep your skin from aging, you always should use SPF, but I know all of us hate the oiliness of sun block. That’s why you should use a moisturizer with built in SPF. Today, I will be reviewing the Senna Daily Defense Antioxidant Moisturizer SPF 15. Now, generally Senna is known for their amazing line of cosmetic product, but I didn’t hesitate to use their skincare products because Senna is a high quality brand. Its retails for $22 and you get 2 oz. of product. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Great SPF protection.
-Not oily or greasy.
-Lightweight and contains vitamin c, green tea, and aloe.
-Thick in consistency, but absorbs quickly and sheers out as you apply.
-Has a pump which is very controllable and doesn’t leave a white tint like other sun blocks do.

Con(s):
-A bit pricey for $22 since the bottle is tinier than expected.

Overall review: As all of you can see, this has tons of pros, because I just think it’s absolutely amazing. It definitely softened my face because it has aloe and jojoba. It doesn’t have a scent which is good and it doesn’t leave a greasy feel. It made my face feel like a baby’s bum. I do think that you get little product for $22, but it’s really worth it if you want soft skin with sun protection. I personally think it’s amazing, but for people who are on a budget, you should save up for this. Also, it’s best for normal to oily skin so I don’t think girls with dry skin should venture out to this. Thanks to Nicky for requesting this review and I hope everyone else enjoyed!

Rating: 9/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : If you’re on a budget, I don’t recommend it.

Review: Senna Sheer Mineral Makeup SPF 20

Hey girls! So, in spirit of summer, I will be reviewing the Senna Cosmetics Sheer Mineral Makeup SPF 20 because people always want good coverage with SPF without having a white cast often triggered by using sunscreen. This has all of those benefits plus others. Its fragrance free, lightweight, and hypoallergenic. It retails for $36 on their site as well as other retailers. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Stays on for 5-7 hours depending on weather.
-Moisturizes and doesn’t oxidize easily.
-It gives great coverage while containing SPF 20.

Con(s):
-The product contains lots of shimmer and cannot be calmed down although it won’t be that noticeable after a while.
-A bit pricey.

Overall review: This product is really good for all skin types, but best of all, it’s best for oily skin types because it’s oil-free itself. I really liked it since it was waterproof and it withstood my bride’s tears (the one whose makeup I did). I think that it’s a bit pricey, but it’s a pretty good deal because you only need a pea sized amount. When I applied this, it felt like I didn’t have any makeup on. I actually like all of those qualities in makeup. Thanks to Jen for requesting this review and I hope all of my other readers enjoyed!

Rating: 9/10 The shimmer made the rating go down.

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes, but if shimmer bothers you, go for their matte foundation.

Review: Senna Cosmetics Lip Lacquer

Hey girls! Before bedtime, I wanted to review an amazing product for you. It’s the Senna Cosmetics Lip Lacquer in Bloom. It retails for $19 and the shade is a medium coral shade with no shimmer. Compared to the price of a MAC Lipglass where you get .17 oz. for just $4 more you get .25 oz. The packaging is in a slim tube logo and the applicator is a doe foot applicator. The link to purchase it will be in the side bar. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Pleasant vanilla scent.
-Smooth on the lips.
-Stays on for about an hour or two.
-Very light feeling and the consistency isn’t too thick or thin. It will stay on and won’t slip and slide all over the place.

Con(s):
-Sticky to the point where your hair will stick to your lips.

Overall review: I think a lot of you will like this. Although it’s sticky, it’s not as sticky as a MAC lipglass. I like the vanilla scent, but others might think it’s a bit fake and plastic-y smelling. I know that’s what my boyfriend said when he smelled it (sometimes he likes to play with my makeup, but don’t worry he’s straight). It’s perfect for the summer. It stayed on my lips for an hour and half because I at chips and drank cool aid, but if you’re just at the beach to swim and whatnot then it won’t come off for about 2-2 ½ hours. It’s great for people of all ages since it’s so smooth and won’t settle into fine lines. Thanks to Ana for this request and keep requesting. I hope everyone enjoyed and since its 10:53 p.m. in NY, goodnight!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes, definitely good for the summer time!

Review: Senna Cosmetics Cream Lipstick

Hey girls! Today I shall review the Senna Cosmetics Cream Lipsticks in Soul and Last Tango. Soul is wearable nude that isn’t really too flesh colored. It’s more on the brown/beige side which would look good on warm tones. Last tango is a medium coral shade that would look good on warm tones. They both are the cream formula which don’t have shimmer and are semi-matte. They retail for $18 and you can find the link to their site in the side bar. Keep reading to see why I like these lipsticks a lot.

Pro(s):
-They have a wide shade range for every skin tone.
-They are super creamy and glide on very well.
-These don’t settle into the fine lines of the mouth and they are stored in a classic elegant tube.

Con(s):
-Because of their creaminess, they last only an hour or an hour and half at the most.

Overall review: I just love these lipsticks so much. I think they’re the best ones I’ve ever tried other than NYX Round Lipsticks. They are the exact same. The glide on really easily and just feel great on the lips. The only thing that bothers me is the wear time. They don’t smell like anything so that’s not an issue. They glide on better than even the MAC Creamsheen, but maybe MAC lipsticks are better because MAC lipsticks are $14 and Senna’s lipsticks are $19 for just .2 oz. more. Anyhow, I’ll leave the decision making up to you, but if you want to go for better formula, I think Senna’s Cream Lipsticks are worth every penny. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

Rating: 9/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Definitely, they’re the best formula you will ever put on your lips.

Review: Senna Cosmetics Lip Sync

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Senna Cosmetics Lip Sync in A La Mode. It retails for $24 from sennacosmetics.com and various boutiques however it’s on sale now for $14.40 so you’re in luck.

Pro(s):
-The lipstick is very pigmented and creamy.
-Both products are very moisturizing and long lasting.
-The lip gloss’s applicator is cool.
-The lip gloss is very smooth and non sticky.
-This shade duo is amazing.

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: OMG! This is the best lipstick/lip gloss duo I’ve eve used. I’ve never seen anything like his before and after using it so far I love it to death. I’ve actually almost used up the entire lip gloss part. Since its very pink nude, I use it for everyday looks. Its non stickiness amazes me. I’ve never seen anything like it. At one point, I felt like I wasn’t wearing anything when all of a sudden a lady came up to me and said that she loved m lip color and asked me about it. III just love it and whoever asked for a review of this, thanks because I feel much honored to even try this product out. Enjoy!

Rating: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Of course!

Review: Senna Cosmetics Silky Face Primer

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Senna Cosmetics Silky Face Primer. It retails from various boutiques and sennacosmetics.com for $38. It a pink/blue tinted primer to fill in lines/pores/wrinkles and creates a smooth base to apply foundation and other face products. Keep reading to hear what my thoughts are on this product.

Pro(s):
-Smells good.
-Very moisturizing.
-The pink tint in the product brightens my face in the morning.
-It helps my makeup glide on like butter and blend easier.
-Smoothes out your face.
-Makes you makeup last over 6 hours.

Con(s):
-Too many shimmers that get on my nerves.

Overall review: Not including the glitter ball situation (that happened after using the primer on its own by accident), I really like this product because it’s very silky but oily too. It leaves my skin dewy, but can be transformed into matte. The thing I was talking about of the glitter ball was that I used some of it on its own because I was going outside and I looked like a disco ball, but after you put foundation on top of it, the shimmers tend to be toned down. I just love this product and I’ve already ordered another one. It’s actually one of their bestselling items. I hope you enjoyed this review and whoever requested this review: here it is!

Rating: 9/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I want to purchase another one soon.

Review: Senna Cosmetics Totally Transforming Eye shadow Primer

Hey girls! So, as many of you know, a lot of you live off of Urban Decay Primer Potion or L’Oreal De-crease Eye shadow primer and you cannot find anything better right. But today I bring to you a review for the Senna Cosmetics Totally Transforming Eye shadow Primer in Shade 1. It retails for $22 from various boutiques and sennacosmetics.com. Keep reading to know more!

Pros:
-It makes my eye shadows look brighter and they last longer when I use this.
-It just makes a bare canvas or my eyelid.
-It doesn’t look cakey.
-It covers up the discoloration of my eyelid.
-Smoothes the entire lid.
-It’s a bang for your buck.

Con(s):
-Bad pot packaging; it’s very unsanitary to dip your finger in it every time you use it.

Overall review: This is probably by far the best dupe for UDPP or L’Oreal De-crease. It makes my shadows long for about the same price as Urban Decay Primer Potion. It works really nicely with anyone almost. I have a lot of darkness on my lids and this just makes everything neutral colored. My eye shadow doesn’t crease when I use this. I once went to a wedding and my eye shadow lasted the entire day and night through the reception. I hope you enjoyed this review!

Rating: 9/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I’m really thinking of getting another one.

Review: Senna Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow Trio

Hey girls! Happy Monday to everyone out there! Today I’m reviewing the Senna Cosmetics Mineral Eye shadow Trio in Cloud. This trio consists of a gold shade, a medium blue shade, and a very dark navy blue. Each shade is frosted and has shimmers in it. This retails from boutiques, e-tailers, and sennacosmetics.com for $24. Keep reading for more information!

Pros:
-All colors are much pigmented.
-All shades are very smooth and creamy in texture although they are powder eye shadows.
-All the shades last for a long time.
-Packaging is very compact and easy to carry around in your bag.
-They are paraben free.

Con(s):
-A lot of fallout.

Overall review: I really love this trio. It creates a nice blue smoky look. The gold is really good as a base color and I like using it with their totally transforming eye shadow primer. You girls will really like this product. It’s better than anything. I hope you enjoy this review!

Rating: 9.9/10

Review: Senna Cosmetics Creamline

Hi girls, today I’m reviewing the Senna Cosmetics Cream line. This is just basically a cream eye liner and retails for $18.50 from sennacosmetics.com, many boutiques and online retailers, and shopNBC.com. It’s one of their best sellers and I am very proud to be reviewing this because many people don’t know how awesome it is yet. Keep reading to know why!

Pros:
-Applies very seamlessly with an angles or fine eye liner brush,
-Very cream consistency.
-Doesn’t smudge or cake.
-Last for about the entire day.
-Doesn’t stain eye lid.
-A little bit does a long way!
-It’s much pigmented.

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: I really like everything there is to like about it. It’s creamy, stays on long enough, and is much pigmented; everything a girl wants in her eye liner. It could also double up as a cream shadow too when doing smoky eyes. It stays on the longest when you use the Senna Cosmetics eye primer with it (review coming soon). I really like the products and since they are a specialty brand, it harder to find them which kind of make their products more awesome and more V.I.P. I hope you enjoyed my review!

Would I purchase it again? : Yes, if I ever finish this one!

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10 Nice and simple!

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes definitely, best for a smoky look!
