Review: Motives Cosmetics Nail Enamel

Hey girls! So this is part two of the Motives Cosmetics Nail Enamel review. This part is the actual nail review. So each bottle can be purchased at their website (link in the side) for $5.25. They have different formulas of polishes from sheer to glitter to crème. Well, I don’t have much more to say so let’s get on with the actual review!

Pro(s):
-The polishes are 3-free and very affordable.
-The formula is smooth and not goopy or anything. No complaints on the formula!
-The polish won’t really chip; just at the tips.

Con(s):
-None found while the testing of this product was conducted!

Overall review: I love these polishes. They’re so luxe feeling although they will only set you back a mere $5. The thing that I really liked about these polishes was the packaging. This product is best for girls on a budget. I’ve also heard certain rumors that this company has the same manufacturer as MAC. I don’t know though so I'll update you guys on that. The top of the bottle though it made of the same rubber-y plastic that’s on NARS packaging. Well, I hope all of you enjoyed and thanks for reading!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Definitely, since it’s not more expensive than a
drugstore polish!

Motives Cosmetics Nail Candy Nail Enamel Part 1: Product Pictures and Swatches

Hey girls! Today I will be sharing product pictures and swatches of Motives Cosmetics Nail Enamel. They have about a dozen colors and some of them are new and recently added. The ones shown here aren’t all new. Only Laguna Beach and Tickle Me Pink are new for the summer, but I Believe in UFO’s is an original shade. The shades I have here are the top 3 nail enamel colors. Here are the shade descriptions:

-Tickle Me Pink: This is a peachy light baby pink glitter shade which has silver glitter. It’s really sheer so you probably will need more than 3 coats, but here I used 3 coats.
-Laguna Beach: This is a frosty teal blue color with teal green duo chrome. It took me 3 coats to get it this opaque.
-I Believe in UFO’s: This is a dark hot pink frost shade. For the color to be opaque you only need 2 coats and that’s how many I used.

Enjoy the swatches and product pictures and review coming soon!

Review: Motives Cosmetics Lip Pumice

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing an amazing lip exfoliator. It’s called the Motives Cosmetics Lip Pumice. The reason it’s called this is because it acts like a pumice stone for your lips without being overly abrasive. It comes in a lipstick like tube and smells like mint. It’s white looking and has black exfoliating kernels of some sort. It retails for $14.95 on their site (link in the side). MAC had a limited edition product like this that came out with the Volcanic Ash Collection. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Gently exfoliates while the white balm conditions.
-Isn’t too harsh so you can use every day.
-Helps my lipstick and gloss apply smoothly.

Con(s):
-If you can survive with sugar and baby oil, don’t buy this.

Overall review: I really like the overall concept of this product. I didn’t purchase the MAC one, but rumor has it that MAC and Motives Cosmetics have the same manufacturer. Nonetheless, I believe that if you cannot afford a $15 exfoliator, you will be able to do the same with baby oil and sugar. I personally would buy it again since its so travel friendly, easy to use, and just an amazing and creative concept. The packaging is in a twist up tube so it’s easy for on-the-go too. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yup, I will definitely be buying a backup of this!

Review: Motives Cosmetics Pressed Eyeshadow

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing the Motives Pressed Eye shadow. The shadows I have are in the following shades: Vanilla which is an off white matte shade, Heiress which is a shimmery baby pink shade, and Cinnamon Spice which is a dark brown with a shimmery finish. They retail for $12 each from motivescosmetics.com. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Very long lasting, pigmented, and crease-free.
-They have a wide range of shades available.
-They have a wide range of finishes available like matte, shimmer, and glitter.
-Paraben, fragrance, and oil free.

Con(s):
-None found during the testing of this product was conducted!

Overall review: I really like these shadows. They’re the perfect MAC dupes because a MAC shadow in the pot is $14.50 and this shadow is $12. It won’t set you back that much. I personally prefer these over MAC shadows. Since you get .06 oz. of product, I think it’s a great alternative of MAC. You get the same quality for less. Thanks to Michelle F. for requesting this review. I hope all of my loyal readers enjoyed and keep requesting!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes, they’re the best MAC dupes!

Review: Motives Cosmetics Pressed Blush

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing the Motives Cosmetics Pressed Blush in Naughty. This blush retails for $13.50 from motivescosmetics.com. This shade is a mid-tone coral with hints of pink. You get .11 oz. of product. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Smooth texture and not too powdery looking!
-Very pigmented!
-Very buildable and doesn’t clog pores!
-Paraben, fragrance, and oil free!
-Affordable compared to MAC!
-Long lasting.

Con(s):
-None found while testing this product!

Overall review: This blush is really good for people who want the quality of MAC for $6 less. A MAC blush is $18.50 in pot form and the Motives Blush is $13.50 in pot form. It won’t irritate your skin like MAC might and it’s just a cheaper alternative. Everything is perfect about it. It’s not too shimmery or too matte. It creates a perfect natural glow. Thanks to Lizzy for requesting this review. I hope all of you enjoyed my review!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes, it’s a cheaper alternative to MAC!

Review: Motives Cosmetics Gel Eye Liner

Hey girls! Today I will be reviewing the Motives Cosmetics Gel Eye liner in Chocoholic. This is a dark brown with gold shimmers in it. You can purchase this product from motivescosmetics.com for $15.75. Its best if used with their angled brush which I love to death because you can create the perfect cat eye look with it. Keep reading to see why I absolutely love this product!

Pro(s):
-It last really long without creasing (6 hours).
-Very intense color without looking too intense.
-Greatly pigmented. You don’t have to go over it a lot of times.
-Very creamy.

Con(s):
-None found during the testing of this product.

Overall review: I really adore this product. It is perfect for everyday use and lasts really long. It’s much pigmented for a creamy for gel eyeliner. It has a matte finish which I really like. It’s great as a base for smoky brown looks that you might want to do for prom or something. Thanks a lot to Margaret for requesting this review and I hope all of you enjoy this product!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Oh yeah, I love this product to death!

Review: Motives Cosmetics 40FY Lip Treatment

Hey girls! For the gazillionth time today, I will be reviewing a product. I want to introduce to you the Motives Cosmetics 40FY Lip Treatment. This is a mid-tone pink shade which is clear on your lips. It retails for $20 and can be purchased from motivescosmetics.com. Keep reading to read my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Very moisturizing and thick in consistency!
-Creates a good base for lip makeup.
-It helps smooth fine lines on your lips.

Con(s):
-Comes in a pot so you have to stick your finger in which is a bad thing for germophobes!

Overall review: This product is very thick and sort of sticky but glides on like a dream on your lips. It’s best to use before bed so your lips and soft, supple, and hydrated in the morning. I use a tiny amount on my lips to prime them before I use my lipstick and lip balm. It helps them adhere to a base and stay on. Thanks to Ellen for requesting this review and I hope all of you enjoyed!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yup, but a bit pricey!

Review: Motives Cosmetics Lip Shine

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Motives Cosmetics Lip Shine in Tease. This is a medium pink shade that is partly opaque and partly sheer. It has a lot of glitters and it retail s for $14, but you get more product in it than a MAC lipglass. You can buy in online on their website. It might be available in boutiques, but you’ll have to check that in their store locator. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Very glossy and moisturizing.
-Medium pigmentation.
-Very glittery and shimmery and has a slant tip applicator.
-It’s not too thick or runny.
-It’s a little sticky, but it doesn’t bother me.

Con(s):
-The shimmers are gritty.
-It only lasts like 20 minutes so you have to re-apply constantly.

Overall review: I like this lip gloss but it definitely isn’t the best I’ve ever tried. It’s very gritty which might in some sense exfoliate your lips. It’s very moisturizing. I would suggest it to anyone who doesn’t have a problem with grit or re-applying a gloss. Thanks to Nina for requesting this and I hope everyone enjoys this!

Rating: 8.5/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : I would recommend it if you don’t have a problem with re-applying and grit.

Review: Motives Cosmetics Lipstick

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing the Motives Cosmetics Lipstick in Lolita Pink. This shade is like a bight frosted hot pink, but it doesn’t look that bright on your lips. You can purchase it from their website and it retails for $14. It’s a cosmetics line created by Loren Ridinger. It’s their Rich Formula Lipstick and keep reading to know why!

Pro(s):
-Very moisturizing and pigmented!
-Stays on for a fairly long time (4 hours +).
-Very opaque color in just one swipe.

Con(s):
-None found during the testing of this product!

Overall review: I really like this lipstick. It’s really moisturizing. It feels like wearing a lip balm, but its uber pigmented. The cool thing it that it cost just as much as a MAC lipstick does and is better quality that nay of the MAC formulas of lipsticks. Thanks to Alyssa for requesting the review and I hope everyone enjoyed this review!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes, I love this product!

Review: Motives by Loren Ridinger Cosmetics Lustrafy High Definition Mascara

Hola chicas! Today I’m reviewing the Motives by Loren Ridinger Cosmetics Lustrafy High Definition mascara in onyx which is a plain black. This retails from MotivesCosmetics.com for $16.95. It’s mascara very comparable in quality and wand shape to Buxom Lash by Bare Essentials. The wand is actually very flexible. Keep reading to know more!

Pro(s):
-Very flexible this makes it easier to coat each lash.
-Doesn’t clump and flake.
-The formula isn’t too thin or too thick.
-It wears for a full 10 hours on me personally (don’t ask, I was in the lab the entire day).

Con(s):
-None found while conducting a test for this product.

Overall review: I really like this mascara. This is one of the special ones I’ve tried in my life. It doesn’t clump at all and is perfect in every way. They also have another shade. I don’t know what it’s called but on the site it looks like a cobalt blue. I bet its god for those girls going to prom. I really like the formula. It’s not goopy or too runny. It pretty fast drying and it’ll take at most only two coats to get volume and length. I highly suggest this for anyone. It a bit on the pricey side for a mascara in my opinion, but I’ve seen more expensive mascaras than this one so it’s not a con. If you’re willing to pay about $17 for high quality mascara then go ahead. I know I would. It’s way better than MAC for only a few dollars more. Thanks to Afsaneh G. for requesting this review and I hope everybody enjoyed!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes, I love this way too much!
