Review: Sun Labs Self Tanning Set, Body Polisher, and Bath and Body Set

Hey girls! After a week of my break (I went to Florida with my cousin), I come back to you again with a review. Don’t any of you want that perfect tan without the sun or sun beds because I know I do! After seeing the perfect tans the chicks have in Florida, I decided to come up with a post that reviews products to use for achieving the perfect tan. My one must have product for the summer is the Sun Labs Self tanner set. It comes with an exfoliator, the self tanner, and the maintaining lotion. I especially like using the body polisher with it. It gently exfoliates for an even coating of the self tanner. Keep reading to see my review of all of these products and for additional prices, please take a look at their site!

My review (by product):

-Sun Labs Exfoliant Body Gel: This gel can be purchased individually or in the trio set at different prices. The 8oz. pump bottle retails for $10. It’s green in color and has small exfoliating beads. It’s good to use before applying the self tanning lotion. It smells like mint and isn’t really strong so it won’t bother people with sensitive noses. You just need a small amount and it will exfoliate your entire leg/arm. I really think this product by itself is really worth purchasing. It’s also paraben free and cruelty free. I like it a lot!

-Sun Labs Self Tanning Lotion (Dark): This lotion can be purchased in the trio or alone for $28.50 for 8oz. (I think it’s cheaper in the trio). The tanner comes in different colors to fit people of different skin tones. It comes in medium, dark, and ultra dark. Medium is for super pale people who don’t want to looks too tan, dark is for people who are medium skin toned, and ultra dark is for people who already have a tanned body but want to enhance their tan. I like this a lot because it stays on for a week on me (with proper maintaining) and its paraben and cruelty free. It smells like Dr Pepper just for the reference. It’s also tinted which helps you realize where you’re applying the lotion. The good thing is that it has a pump so you can control how much you’re taking out of the bottle. With a clear one, you might miss a spot. I really think it’s a must have for all pale chicks in the summer since it lasts a really long time!!

-Sun Labs Tan Moisturizer/Maintainer: This product also comes only in the trio set ($39.95) which contains 8oz. of product. It’s a white maintainer moisturizer which helps your tan stay on longer. It helps to keep the moisture in as well as the tan. It smells like aloe and works really great. I think you’ll all enjoy this product since it’s also cruelty and paraben free.

-Sun Labs Body Polisher set: This seems like the dupe to the infamous Clarasonic. It comes with a face buffer (it helped me in the absorption of my facial moisturizers), a body buffer (in conjunction with the exfoliant it prepped my skin for the tanner by exfoliating), the face buffer (helps exfoliate my skin and works with any cleanser), and a pumice stone (helps get rid of dead skin cells in my knees, elbows and heels). All of these products work great with the Sun Labs exfoliant. This body polisher set with the beach bag (which I have). I love the pumice stone the most. It’s the best product I’ve probably ever used before. I think it’s a great dupe for the Clarasonic and at just $59.95 (you also get the Juniper body set) you cannot pass up an offer like that.

-Juniper Bath and Body Set: It comes with 8oz. of juniper berry scented lotion, cleansing gel, and exfoliant. It also works very well in conjunction with the body polisher set. The lotion moisturizes well, the exfoliator works really well even on its own, and the cleansing gel cleanses my body really well. It retails for $25 by itself, but if you want it with the beach bag and polisher set, its $59.95. I think that it’s amazing and you should really think about investing in it!

Mini-Reviews: Honeycat Cosmetics Products

Hey girls! So, I come to you today with my series of mini-reviews. I had some Honeycat Cosmetics’ products for a while now that I wanted to share the quality and everything with you, but was too lazy to make different posts about. So today, I’m targeting all of those products and reviewing every product. Their retail values will all be in their reviews so look out for that and the link to purchase the items will be in the sidebar. Thanks again for reading!

My review (by product):
-Rub My Tummy, Milk and Honey Hand and Body Cream: This retails for $12 for 6 oz and comes housed in a medium sized tub. It’s very thin in consistency, absorbs quickly, and eaves your hands feeling hydrated, soft, smooth, and smelling sweet like honey mainly. I have no complaints about it and I think it’s worth the $12.

-Chick of the Sea Foaming Bath Crystals: These come in a tin (like the tins that anchovies or sardines come in) and retails for $10. It’s supposed to be one time use, but I’ve saved it up and used it in 2 separate baths. They foam up really nicely in warm water and contain essential oils that leave my skin feeling soft and moisturized. I just wish that for the price, they gave more product.

-Whisker Slicker I’m in Heat Lip Balm: This lip balm comes in a chap stick-like container and retails for $6. It smells like cinnamon and tastes sweet. It really moisturizes your lips since they’re so much vitamin E in it. It feels warm and sort of tingling on your lips when you first apply, but it eventually subsides. I think that this is by far the best product I’ve ever tried by them!

-Frisky Kitty Bath Time Fizzy (bath bombs): One bath bomb is $10 and they have four different scents from oatmeal to rose and lemongrass. You are supposed to use on bath bomb per bath, but I cut it in half and I get two uses out of it. It has lots of essential oil and smells great so it moisturizes while giving you a calming spa experience.

Would I recommend any of these? : Well, my personal faves are the lip balm and the bath bomb so think about investing in them!

Review: new Bodycology Hand and Body Lotion

So girls, don’t all of you think that you won’t need a moisturizer in the summer since your skin already produces so much oil? Well what you don’t know is that being out in the sun evaporates all the moisture from your skin. For times like these, I love using Bodycology’s Hand and Body Lotion. It’s available in 10 scents for different noses and will only cost you $4.99. The entire Bodycology line ranges from $.99 to $4.99 so it’s a really affordable line. You can find this on their site as well as other retailers. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Very affordable since it will only set you back $4.99.
-Very moisturizing and the scent will last a god 3-4 hours.
-Its feels lightweight and non-greasy.

Con(s):
-I wish it had some SPF!

Overall review: This moisturizer is great for the summer since its lightweight and doesn’t feel greasy or oily. That’s one of my pet peeves when a lotion is oily and feels slick. I just hate that, but thankfully this isn’t like that. The scent I have is in Vanilla Cupcake and it smells exactly like it. I love sweet scents as I might have said in a previous review so I love this. I think that if this company came out with more products then it will be better than Bath & Body Works. Thanks to Jamie for requesting this review and I hope all of my viewers enjoyed this!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes, especially since its so affordable and high quality!

Review: Erno Laszlo Light Controlling Lotion

Hey girls! Today I will be reviewing the Erno Laszlo Light Controlling Lotion. This retails for $39 for 6.8 oz. It’s meant for slightly dry to oily skin. The link to their site will be in the side bar. Basically it’s a toner that you use after you remove your makeup and cleanse your face. It claims to balance the pH of your skin so you skin will not be too dry or too oily. Keep reading to read my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-It removes all traces of makeup left after makeup removing and cleansing.
-It removes a lot of dead skin cells off of my face but most of all off of my neck.
-When you use it, you really get a very clean feel!

Con(s):
-It might sting and it smells like fragrant alcohol if that makes any sense.

Overall review: I really like this toner. It doesn’t dry my skin out too much and balances my skin so that it transformed in 3 months from very dry to normal. Yes you read it right, my skin is now normal. I don’t get dry cheeks after I use cleanser and my T-zone isn’t oily either. I absolutely feel that it’s worth every penny. You don’t even need that much. Every morning and night, I take the entire cap off of the bottle and put my cotton square to the top and turn it upside down and back. That’s all the product I need to do my face and neck. You wouldn’t believe how much gunk comes off of my neck because in the summer, your sweat leaves a lot of dead skin there. Thanks to Rita for requesting this review and I hope all of you enjoyed!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : I absolutely love it. I already have a backup!

Review: Embyolisse Lait-Creme Concentre

Hey girls! Sorry for being MIA. Actually I had to go to a huge wedding to go to where I was the makeup artist. It was actually an extended family because the brides grandmother had like 4 brothers and 6 sisters and I had to do makeup for the brides second, third, and fourth cousins as well as aunts and uncles. Well, today I’m reviewing an important product I used at the wedding. It’s called the Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentre. It’s basically an all over cream that you can apply to the body, hands, or face. It retails off of the Embryolisse website and it ranges anywhere from $14-$25 depending on what size you purchase. They have a 1 oz. size and a 2n6 oz. size. What is claims to do on the site is to prime, moisturize, and makeup remover. It also claims to reduce irritation after shaving. Keep reading to see if these claims are true!

Pro(s):
-It’s good to use as a primers and moisturizer because it sinks in easily and doesn’t leave a greasy feel.
-Moisturizes really well and leaves face feeling soft since its consistency is really thin.
-When used for makeup remover, it leaves the skin hydrated feeling (kind of like when you use Lancôme’s makeup remover).

Con(s):
-It irritates my armpits when I used it to reduce irritation after shaving.
-The fragrance might annoy and cause irritation to people.

Overall review: It’s good to purchase if you want a 3-in-1 product. It primes nicely because it leaves my skin very soft and hydrated and my foundation glides on easily. While priming it moisturizes and as a makeup remover, you don’t need much of it to remove heavy duty eye shadow and eyeliner. It might be hard to remove waterproof mascara but my Lash blast Waterproof came off. For the most part, it's a good staple to have in your makeup bag. Thanks to Nanina for requesting this review. I hope all of you enjoyed!

Rating: 8.5/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yup, but a bit on the pricey side!

Review: Karma Organic Spa Body Lotion

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing the Karma Organic Spa Lotion for hands and feet. This is for father’s day since I gave it to my dad and it’s a very appropriate gift for fathers since it doesn’t look too feminine. It comes in a small tub with 4 oz. of product for $20 at karmaorganicspa.com. It comes in a variety of different scents, but I have the Geranium one. Keep reading to see my review on this product!

Pro(s):
-Very thin consistency!
-Moisturizing and absorbs in really fast.
-Very lightweight and a little goes a long way!

Con(s):
-Heavy organic scent which may bother people with sensitive noses.
-Doesn't have SPF.
-Tub packaging isn't the best!

Overall review: I just love this product except for its scent. It’s very disturbing but they have other scents like peppermint and lavender. They’re supposed to be aromatherapy and I think that if you used the lavender one before you went to sleep you will feel relaxed. The consistency is really thin and when my dad first opened it, he wasn’t careful and it spilled all over. They should have it in a squeeze tube bottle. My dad really likes the organic scent, but it bothered my nose. Its best for summer since its lightweight, but I hope it had SPF. Thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoyed!

Rating: 7/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yes, but remember to get a scent you like, not just any random scent!

Review: Olivella Body Lotion 100% Natural Olive Oil

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing the Olivella Body Lotion made from 100% natural olive oil. So now you’re thinking, wait a minute this might be excessively greasy, but keep reading to see that’s it isn’t! You can buy this online at OlivellaUSA.com. It retails for $16 for 200mL. They also have a large pump size that has 500mL of product. Keep reading to know my opinion on this!

Pro(s):
-Very moisturizing and non-greasy.
-Good for all seasons and light fragrance.
-Not too thick or thin in consistency.

Con(s):
-Might be a bit pricey.

Overall review: I really like this product to death! It has anti-aging properties since it has olive oil in it. I don’t know if people might want to shell out $16 for a body lotion, but its super moisturizing and it doesn’t clog pores. It works best after showering and it conditions my skin nicely. I actually have really dry skin all year long and this helps with the flakiness and rough spots a lot. Thanks to Melina for requesting this review and I hope all of my other wonderful readers enjoy and thanks so much for your support!

Rating: 9/10 The price might set back some people as well as its availability.

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yup, I plan on repurchasing it soon!

Review: Seed Grape Seed Enriched Body Lotion

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing the Seed Power Body Lotion. These come in three different scents. One is unscented, the next one is restful lavender sage, and the final one is invigorating citrus thyme. Their retail price is $7.99 . You can purchase them off of seedpowerbodycare.com. They also have a “Where to Buy” section so you might want to check in that area and you can definitely get them at Whole Foods stores.. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-It’s very moisturizing because it has shea butter as a main ingredient.
-Its 100% natural and organic.
-The packaging is convenient in a pump styled plastic bottle.

Con(s):
-Some people might be disturbed by the super organic scent of all of them. It’s just an ingredient.

Overall review: I honestly think that this stuff has everything a woman would ever want in her moisturizer however the smell is unbearable. It just smells too organic and I don’t like that smell. Well at least whenever I smell it I know that its organic and not harming the environment. The scent fades in a couple of minutes so it’s not that bad. You will survive unless you have a very sensitive nose. Thanks to Maria B. for requesting this review and I hope you like this product.

Rating: 8/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, but I won’t buy it because it’s not available offline as far as I know.

Review: Udderly Smooth Udder Cream

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Udderly Smooth Udder Cream. It contains 4 oz. of product and retails at drugstores ranging anywhere from $2-$4. It smells like nothing and looks white. It was originally formulated to use of dairy cows and then they formed a similar version for humans to use for smooth skin because this product smoothed the cows’ udders. Their creams can also be used on diabetics and their foot care is especially formulated for this use. The packaging is cool because it has the cow’s skin pattern on it. Keep reading to see what I think about this product!

Pro(s):
-Moisturizes dry and rough skin.
-The moisture lasts a really long time and it makes my skin silky smooth and soft.
-It’s good for all seasons because it’s not greasy like other moisturizers.
-Cool packaging and very affordable. Its available almost everywhere (no department stores but like Wal- Mart and Target).

Con(s):
-No SPF factor.

Overall review: I really like this product. The fact that it was formulated for a cow sort of bothers me a bit, but in the end when looking at the results, I am really satisfied and none of that matters anymore. Maybe some people who hate the smell of baby powder and baby lotion might hate the smell, but it’s pretty normal to me. Its thick when you take it out of the tube, but when blended it comes out more watery. This times Jason F. from Los Angeles, CA has requested this review so I hope you enjoyed it. This is good for boys and girls! I hope all of you enjoyed!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yup, I will getting myself another one soon!

Review: Sweetly You Premium Body Lotion

Hey girls! Today I’ll be reviewing yet another product. I’m like on a roll with these entire well thought out reviews. This product is from the Sweetly You bath company. It’s their body lotion. I have it in Honeysuckle and it smells exactly like Honeysuckle; not too sweet or plain. It retails from Sweetly You’s website for $6.95 for the 4 oz version. For the 8oz version, it’s $9.95. I personally think the prices are affordable. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Very moisturizing!
-Travel friendly size.
-Affordable luxury for less.
-Wide range of scents.
-Lightweight feel on the skin.

Con(s):
-The moisture doesn’t last that long.
-The scent fades away fast.

Overall review: I love this product. All though the scent doesn’t last long or the moisture, I still love its price as well as its level of moisture it gives the skin. I think everyone would like it. This product is lightweight on the skin and provided a lot of moisture. I am definitely planning on purchasing another one of these. Thanks to Amber G. from Wyoming for the request. Enjoy!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I’m thinking of seriously getting another one of these!

Press Release: Lush Colour Supplement

Hey girlies! Again, I know, I know another press release! I’m just addicted to having the latest releases because they rock and I get a brilliant response from you people for it. Lush is deciding to take the makeup road and they are releasing in the UK. Basically, they’re like these little pots with something that looks thick and it’s like a tinted moisturizer. You can mix it in with your normal moisturize and stuff like that. I personally will most likely go and snag one of these online maybe. I don’t think you get much product and they retail for about $9 since its 7.99 Euros. Thanks to the Muse for the wonderful and informative post! These look amazing; I hope you really enjoy it.

Press Release: Philosophy Wild Blackberry Blossom Body Lotion and Shower gel

I’m just obsessed with Philosophy now days, ever since my cousin let me use her hope in a jar. Today, I come to you with another Philosophy press release and boy am I loving every moment of it. Philosophy likes tempting people with their mind blowing shower gel and lotion duos that come in such cute packaging with huge amounts of the Philosophy goodness. I’m very excited about this duo in particular and it’s called Wild Blackberry Blossom. I actually have a shade close to the purple shown here on my nails today. Again, thanks to the Muse for putting up a post, I’m able to share this with all of you. Basically, today I will be writing up a lot of press releases. Maybe even a review if I feel like it but overall I’m so excited about the spring and summer. It’s been snowing like crazy here and my friend’s niece didn’t have to go to school. She’s also a makeup addict but doesn’t wear much of it because I tell her that she still has good skin and she shouldn’t ruin it yet unless she really needs it. Now, other than my life jibber jabber, let’s go to the prices of these products. The shower gel costs $16 and the lotion costs $24. I really like the price of the shower gel and might even end up snagging it. It’s currently available at Nordstrom. Enjoy!

Press Release: Philosophy Rasberries and Cream Shower Gel and Lotion

Hey girls, I apologize for not doing a post forever. Well, I have something today that will definitely give you sweet dreams, but on top of that, your dreams will be extra flirty. This is because Philosophy has a QVC only duo of a shower gel and lotion. It’s called Philosophy Raspberries and Cream Shower gel and Body Lotion. I looked at it and fell in love. The picture credit goes to the Muse for her wonderful post. This retails for about $34 in a duo which in my opinion is pretty affordable considering how much product you get in the shower gel bottle. I looked at this stuff and I got this weird excited feeling because many companies release spring and summer stuff right now to tempt me (lol)! Feel excited yourself, check it out here !
