Review: Pandora's Makeup Box Face Powder

Hey girls! Today I saw the Twilight parody movie Vampires Suck and I’ve got to say that the Edward in Vampires Suck was hotter than the one in Twilight. He kept my attention during the entire movie other than the actors’ makeup. So, I’ve seen that all of the vampires have this amazing flawless, matte, white skin (but Edward’s under eye concealer was creasing LOL). I am assuming it was airbrush + amazing cosmetics concealer + tons of MAC Studio Fix powder, but now you can get equally matte skin with the Pandora’s Makeup Box Face Powder. This powder comes in a range of shades for $26 (I have shade #5) which won’t seem too expensive if you’re used to buying MAC. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Its smooth to apply and gives wonderful matte coverage.
-Doesn’t look caked on and doesn’t make me break out.
-The packaging is adorable and great for teens too.
-I get about 8 hour wear before all the powder is worn out and my skin is oily again.

Con(s):
-It doesn’t keep you matte all day (touch-up necessary).

Overall review: Up till 2 weeks ago, I relied on my MAC Studio Fix Powder. Now I rely on my Pandora’s Makeup Box Powder. It works great for dry or oily skin, but dry skin will stay matte longer than oily skin. I think it’s greatly pigmented. Now normally, for face product I don’t venture out of my normal MAC, Hourglass, or Senna, but since this hasn’t made me break out and has done wonders on my skin, I would go ahead and purchase it again. I absolutely love the packaging and the fact that you can take the pan out and put it in your UNII or Z-Palette is great. If you're a sucker for packaging and quality, this is for you. Thanks to Alyssa for requesting this review and thanks for reading!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Yeah, if you can afford the MAC Studio Fix Powder than don’t make an excuse to not buying this!

Review: Illamasqua Powder Eyeshadow

Hey girls! As all of you know, Vicky loves her neutrals. So today I have another neutral eye shadow to review for you. It’s called the Illamasqua Bronx Eye shadow. The shade can be described as a medium brown shade with gold shimmers. It retails for £15.00. It’s one of Illamasqua’s talked about products since the brand’s launch because it’s so awesome. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-It’s very easy to blend other shadows into this shadow.
-It lasts about 8 hours until it’s completely faded away.
-It hasn’t creased on me and somewhat smells like milk chocolate.
-There’s little to no fallout and they’re greatly pigmented.

Con(s):
-None found while the testing of this product was conducted!

Overall review: At first when I smelled this eye shadow, I thought I was going crazy because it smells like milk chocolate. I absolutely love this product and I will purchase more shadows in the future. It’s a great all over lid color for people who are about MAC NC35. I can’t say enough about this product. You would just have to get it yourself and try it out. I couldn’t get the best swatch out of it because I didn’t want to use that shadow up too much LOL! Well, thanks to Janice for requesting this review and I hope all of you enjoyed!

Rating: 10/10 :)

Is it recommended by Vicky? : Hell yeah, I love this shadow to death; I’ve already made a dent in it!

Review: NEW Hourglass Cosmetics Illume Cream-to-Powder Bronzer Duo

Hey girls! Today I’ll be review the Hourglass Cosmetics Illume Crème-to-Powder Bronzer Duo in Sunset. As far as what I’ve been told, this product will be released in May. It will retail for $40 just like their other bronzer duo except this one has a blush with bronzer and the other one has highlighter with bronzer. The bronzer and blush duo will be available at Sephora stores and their website as well as hourglasscosmetics.com.

Pro(s):
-Very easy to blend and you can apply with anything you want to (brush, sponge, fingers).
-Universal shades can complement any skin tone and since the shades are buildable, you can never over do it or under do it.
-Cool 360 degree swivel compact case which is very sleek with a huge mirror.
-It stays matte all day and doesn’t grease up your entire face.

Con(s):
-None found!

Overall review: I just love this product. I’ve never tried a cream to powder bronzer or blush, but now I think that the concept is pretty creative. The fact that it becomes a powder is a happy thing for people with oily skin. I just love the packaging although it will get fingerprints all over it. I hope everyone enjoys this product (at least whoever will be buying it) and please keep requesting reviews. I enjoy doing them so much!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, it’s absolutely perfect for the upcoming summer months!
