So, yesterday I went to the Rite Aid 6 blocks away from me (I have one 2 blocks away from me) because they were having a BOGO on Revlon lippies because they just opened. I checked out all the new displays and I’ve got to say that I love what I’m seeing. Sinful colors and Wet ‘n’ Wild came out with fall collections for nail polishes. They polishes were perfect for Halloween and for the fall. I was going to take pictures of the displays, but I just wanted to concentrate this post on amazing products from N.Y.C. So as all of you probably know, New York Color (N.Y.C.) is our most affordable drugstore brand. With products from cream blushes to mosaic face powders, their entire line ranges from $.99 to about $4.99. Recently, they are collaborating with a lot of makeup artists from New York City and creating these amazing limited edition collections that can beat Urban Decay or Makeup Forever any day. Recently they came out with a collection called Color Pop and that consisted of several dramatic shades of eye shadow duos and neon colored lip glosses which came out to be really sheer on the lips. When I went in yesterday, this new collection called Sun Soaked caught my eye. Today I went in again with a wallet and the iPhone and took a nice picture of the display. Here it is:
This collection has many new products for the summer time. They have their quick dry nail polishes in two shades: Pink Paradise and Coral Reefe. They both retail for $1.99 each. Then they had 2 new shades of their Waterproof eyeliner pencil in the colors Bronze and Turquoise. They retail for $3.99. They also have 2 lip glosses that retailed for $2.99 each with the same shade names as the nail polishes. They also came out with 2 matte bronzers retailing for $4.99 each. There are also new eye shadow quads and color wheel face powders for $4.99. I got so excited just by looking at the collection. I only purchased the eye pencil in Turquoise and the lip gloss in Coral Reefe. I will have pictures and a review down below.
N.Y.C. Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Turquoise
I love this so much. As the name suggests, this is a frosty turquoise shade. It’s creamy and smooth. Its greatly pigmented and wont rub off easily. It’s waterproof because it stayed on my waterline for about 6 hours. It seemed very comparable to Makeup Forever Aqua Liners and the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencils. Go grab this while you can since it’s a limited edition shade.
N.Y.C Kiss Gloss in Coral Reefe
I love this just as much as I love the eyeliner pencil. It’s a pinky coral shade that looks intensely pigmented, but when used on lips provided the perfect summer-y tint. It glides on easily. It’s not as sticky or thick as the kiss gloss from the Color Pop collection and this actually tastes sweet.
I just love these two products to death and I think I might get a nail polishes and the other eye liner because all of the products in this collection are limited edition and the collection is just too awesome to miss. Thanks for reading and I hope all of you enjoyed!

OPI Swiss Colelction for Fall 2010 Part 2: Review and Swatches
Hey girls! This second part will be swatches and review. The OPI Swiss Collection for Fall 2010 will release in August. It will be available at JCPenny, Ulta, and other beauty supply stores and e-tailers.
Here are the shade descriptions:
-I’m Suzi and I’m A Chocoholic: This is a crème shade that’s a deep red shade. As all reds and dark shades, it will stain your nails. In the swatch, I used 2 coats.
-From A to Z-urich: This is also a crème shade that’s a really dark pink berry shade. This one also stains the cuticles and nail, but it will wear off. In the swatch, I used 2 coats.
-Color So Hot It Berns: This is a crème shade that’s a true cool red. It looks orange based on the bottle, but comes off a blood red. This also stains the cuticles and nails. In the swatch, I used 2 coats, but my nail line still showed so for extra assurance, you might want to use 3 coats.
-Just A little Rosti At This: This shade is a crème just like From A to Z-urich, but more purple berry-ish. It also stained my cuticles, but not as badly as the others did. In the swatch I used 2 coats.
-William Tell Me About OPI: This is a crème shade which is a deep eggplant purple. It reminded me of OPI Lincoln Park After Dark a little bit. This surprisingly sort of didn’t stain my nails and cuticles, if came off after some rubbing with nail polish remover. In the swatch I used 2 coats.
-Ski Teal We Drop: This is also a crème shade which is a blue based dark teal shade. It did stain my cuticles, but the staining wasn’t much of a bother. In the swatch I used 2 coats.
-Yodel Me On My Cell: This is a frost shade which is dark mermaid blue with blue micro glitter. In the swatch I used 4 coats because with 3 my nail line was still showing.
-The Color To Watch: This is a frost shade which is a light lilac purple blue reflective micro glitter. In the swatch I used 3 coats.
-Cuckoo For This Color: This is a frosty emerald shade with green micro glitter. In the swatch I used 2 coats.
-Diva of Geneva: This is also a frosty dark raspberry-ish purple shade. It has orange duo chrome micro glitter to it. In the swatch I used 2 coats.
-Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous: I think this has to be one of two of my favorite shade because it’s just so ME. It’s a glitter shade that’s dark grey/silver with silver glitters. In the swatch I used 4 coats because it’s sheer.
-Glitzerland: I think that if you had to purchase a shade, this is the one. It’s sheer, but so pretty. It’s a beige champagne-y glitter shade with silver glitters. I used 3 coats, but there will be 4-5 coats necessary since your nail line shows with 3 coats.
So as all of you can see, I basically love these shades. If you use a base, I can guarantee you that your nails will not get stained. The crème shades consistency is a slight thicker than the other shades’ consistencies, but it still works wonders. The other shades are thinner in consistency, but they dry super fast. Again, with their classic pro-wide brush, application is super easy. Their formula is 3-free so you’re not harming your nails. I hope all of you enjoyed and once again this collection is set to release in August 2010!
