Review: Essie Art of Spring Collection for Spring 2010

Hey girls! The new Essie Art of Spring Collection for spring 2010 has released in many locations. ULTA, Pro-Salons, and beauty supply stores as well as many e-tailers now carry this amazing line. After seeing many promo pictures I felt the need to try this collection out for myself. No that I’ve tried everything; I can properly come up with a review. You will definitely be impressed! Keep reading for more info!

Pro(s):
-The color is even in just 2 coats.
-Nice thin formula so that you can apply evenly.
-Drying time is faster.
-Nice opaque color (without base/top coat).
-Great pigmentation.

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: I just love all the colors that were released. They are so like me; girly and fun! I love Lilacism and Tart Deco the most, but I still suggest buying the entire collection. All of the colors are universal for all skin tones and are also good for the summer. The swatches all determine the real color of the polishes so it’s pretty self explanatory! I hope you enjoyed this review!

Rating: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes 

Press Release: Essie Art of Spring Collection for Spring 2010

Hey girls. Spring is round the corner and Essie will be releasing their Art of Spring Collection. This will be released in February and will retail for $8 a bottle from their fine retailers. This collection will be showcasing a range of colors suited for the spring time. There will also be a 4 piece mini release with the collection.

Here are the shades to be released with this collection (from left to right):

*Pop Art Pink: Sheer Chiffon Pink
*Lilacism: Satiny Smooth Lilac
*Neo Whimsical: Light as a feather rose-plum
*Van D’go: Deliciously ripe melon
*Tart Deco: Dreamy creamy coral
*Red Nouveau: Fiery hot pepper red

The 4 piece mini set includes:

*Pop Art Pink
*Lilacism
*Tart Deco
*Red Nouveau

I’m very excited about this collection. These shades are made to complement a wide range of skin tones like the bright red would be really good for darker tones and the lighter shades would be good for the lighter skin tones, but you can wear whatever you like. You girls can expect swatches of this collection very soon!

Review: Essie Winter '09 Collection Review

Hi girls, today I have a review for you. The new Essie Winter ’09 Collection came out and I love it. I got it from a website, but I don’t remember which site it was. I’ve had them for a month now. I was going to post swatches but then I already have some polish on so I didn’t, but on my next polish review, I will. The three colors in this collection are Mint Candy Apple (the turquoise green), Lollipop (the bright red), and Rock Candy (the sheer light pink color). This is my first time ever buying Essie and I love them. Keep reading to see why I love Essie so much.

Pros: The colors are very winter appropriate. The green and sheer light pink color is perfect for those cold snowy days. The bright red is perfect for any day and it’s not too bright. These polishes aren’t sheer at all. You can get away with two coats. I just love all of them. I think Rock Candy is supposed to be sheer for the winter months.

Cons: The only polish I had a problem with was Rock Candy because it’s very sheer. I used a base coat with it later on and it comes out better, but you can’t get the color in the bottle.

Overall review: I love them. They are the best. The good thing is that they don’t have all that bad stuff in the polish that you wouldn’t want. The colors are fairly pigmented and not very sheer except for one, but it seems like it’s supposed to be like that. I have to say that Essie polishes are quite brilliant. You girls can expect me to be reporting on all Essie collections from now on.

Rating: 9.3/10

Disclosure: I wasn’t sent these nor am I affiliated with any of the companies mentioned. I am not being paid and these are my opinions and aren’t influenced by any company or any person.
