Review: Marie Louise Restoration Clear Gel

Hi girls, today I’ll be reviewing the Marie Louise Restoration Clear Gel. It’s basically an exfoliating gel that you should use one a week to remove dirt, makeup, and dead skin cells so the production of skin cells keeps on happening and doesn’t build up and age skin. It retails from marielouisecosmetics.com for $51. Keep reading to know more.

Pros:
-Nicely exfoliates without an abrasive feel.
-No particular disturbing scent!
-Colorless!
-Daily use isn’t necessary!

Con(s):
-A bit on the pricey side.

Overall review: I really like it although it’s a bit on the pricey side and you need a lot of pumps of product to be able to properly exfoliate. I normally take about 3 pumps (the minimum) and rub it into different areas f my skin gently (because it can cause damage if you rub too hard) and I feel grains on my hands and its actually my dead skin coming off in little balls, They aren’t very big, but just big enough to be able to see it with your naked eye (don’t worry, it’s not that small). You can actually see the dead skin cells in the little grains that rub off from the gel and they are very dark and dirty looking. I like the way it exfoliates without the little beads which kid of irritate my skin so this product will be on my Holy Grail list. I will probably ask for a backup on my B-Day! I hope you enjoyed my review!

Would I purchase it again? : Yes, but very pricey.

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10 conveniently in a bottle with a pump that delivers just the right amount of product.

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes; best for exfoliation!

Review: China Glaze Nail Polishes

Hi girls, today I’m reviewing China Glaze nail polishes. It’s not my first time trying them, but a PR representative sent them over so I said, sure why not. The ones I’m reviewing today are called Ginger which is the coppery color with holographic glitter in it. It’s really big which I like. I got my grandma t nail model for me and she wasn’t that bad either. The next color is called Tree Hugger and it’s a medium green with light shimmers where it almost seems like a cream formula, but it’s not. There, I made my friend model for me. Her nails are just 20x better than mine, but it’s okay. These polishes retail for $2-$8 a bottle from many online retails, professional salons, and some other beauty supply stores.

Pros:
-It only takes 2 thin coats to get a nice and opaque color.
-The holographic glitter in Ginger is really awesome, but it’s not too chunky to the point where it’s hard to apply the polish.
-It applies smoothly regardless of whether the nails are sooth or not (like my grandma’s).
-The polish dries very fast compared to other brands.
-The polishes don’t need a top coat after being painted and don’t chip even if you do the dishes or knead dough or anything.
-The polishes give a pro finish without spending $10 at the salon.

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: I rarely say that there are no cons to products but this product amazed me. I’ve always like China glaze because of the formula and now I can proudly say I’m a nail polish addict. More swatches of various nail polish brands will come soon since I fell in love with nail polishes once more. Well, I hope you enjoyed and keep requesting. Also, I apologize that I forget the names of many of my followers, but its okay because you guys never get angry. Thanks for all the support!

Would I purchase it again? : Yes definitely, but in other shades!

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Definitely; get a pro manicure right at home!

Review: Senna Cosmetics Creamline

Hi girls, today I’m reviewing the Senna Cosmetics Cream line. This is just basically a cream eye liner and retails for $18.50 from sennacosmetics.com, many boutiques and online retailers, and shopNBC.com. It’s one of their best sellers and I am very proud to be reviewing this because many people don’t know how awesome it is yet. Keep reading to know why!

Pros:
-Applies very seamlessly with an angles or fine eye liner brush,
-Very cream consistency.
-Doesn’t smudge or cake.
-Last for about the entire day.
-Doesn’t stain eye lid.
-A little bit does a long way!
-It’s much pigmented.

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: I really like everything there is to like about it. It’s creamy, stays on long enough, and is much pigmented; everything a girl wants in her eye liner. It could also double up as a cream shadow too when doing smoky eyes. It stays on the longest when you use the Senna Cosmetics eye primer with it (review coming soon). I really like the products and since they are a specialty brand, it harder to find them which kind of make their products more awesome and more V.I.P. I hope you enjoyed my review!

Would I purchase it again? : Yes, if I ever finish this one!

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10 Nice and simple!

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes definitely, best for a smoky look!

Review: L'oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub

So, have you ever been in that situation where you’re looking at a cleanser in the drugstore and you think “Yeah like that’s supposed to deep clean”. Well think again. This post will be introducing the newest innovation in cleansing (from the drugstore). I was at Rite Aid a couple of days ago and I was looking around in the front of the makeup section where the new releases are and I was amazed to find quite a lot of awesome things. Now, I’m the type of person who does a lot of research before investing even 7 bucks into a makeup cleanser/remover or a makeup products and this was the biggest and best find since. L’Oreal has released many new products for spring 2010 and they have just started showing themselves in the retail world. Now, I saw the roll on foundation, a primer, and a cleanser from L’Oreal. Today I will be reviewing the L’Oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub with the Scrublet. I am very excited and I will be purchasing more products from the new releases as said in the beginning so expect reviews of those within a week or so. I picked up the L’Oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub with the Scrublet for review and also since I had heard a lot of buzz about this products from bloggers from the UK, I thought I might as well try it out for myself and give you girls (and guys) my honest opinion on it. It retails from major drugstores and major online stores anywhere from $6.99-$7.99. I got it for $7.19 which pretty reasonable for an amazing product. Keep reading to see why this product amazed me so much.

Pros:
-It literally gets into those pores and gets the blackheads and oils out of there.
-It smells great; a lot like the St Ives Apricot Scrub.
-The little Scrublet is amazing.
-A pea sized amount goes a long way.
-Definitely a bang for your buck.
-Love the cute packaging.
-Good for traveling.
-It minimize pore size.
-It leaves my skin feeling smoother and softer; no more roughness from flaking.

Cons:
-Not good for sensitive skin since the exfoliating beads are very abrasive.
-May over exfoliate and leave raw skin as well as irritate skin.

Overall review: Since I am a sucker for packaging, I really liked this. It was cute and very compact. It’s also nice for traveling as the Scrublet pops back into the hole in the bottle. The first time I used it although, I scribed too hard and my skin started hurting and stinging. My cheek area looked like it was over exfoliated and turned red so for those of you who have issue with that, you might want to use the version for sensitive skin. The beads for exfoliating could be very abrasive at times, but overall I like the job it done. I have a lot of black heads on my nose, and this got rid of them.

Would I purchase it again? : Yes; I think I’ll go and buy another one when they are on clearance sale.

Rating: 9.5/10

Packaging: 10/10 Amazing!

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes!

Review: Lipstick Queen Pop Art Lip Gloss

Hi girls, today I’m reviewing the Lipstick Queen 15 minutes of Fame Pop Art Lip-gloss in 6 minutes and 10 minutes. This retails for $16.50 from Lipstickqueen.com, boutiques, as well as QVC and QVC.com. 6 minutes is a peachy apricot color. 10 minutes is a berry color in the tube and that’s how it comes out on the lips except with a more pinkish tint. I’m actually wearing it now. Keep reading for more information!

Pros:
-Stays on long; approximately 6 hours.
-It has the pigmentation of a lipstick.
-It’s very shiny,
-It goes on smooth.
-Its non sticky.
-It smells good; I can’t describe it.
-Nice brush tip applicator.
-Compact so it’s good for on the go.

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: I think these are a staple in every makeup artists’ kit. They are much pigmented and double up as a lipstick and gloss into one. They aren’t really that pricey compared to Stila’s lip glazes. A little goes a long way with these. They are a lot like OCC’s lip tars. I really like the packaging on them, very normal and simply glamorous in my opinion. I think all girls need to have at least one of these. I hope you enjoyed!

Would I purchase it again? : Yes.

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10 nice brush tip applicator and very slim and compact.

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes of course.

Review: Elizabeth Arden Good Morning Skin Serum

Hi girls, today I’m reviewing the Elizabeth Arden Good Morning Skin Serum. It retails for $34 from Elizabetharden.com, Elizabeth Arden counters, selected boutiques, and from online counters. It’s basically a silicone based primer to prime and smooth your face before you apply moisturizer or any face makeup. Keep reading for more information.

Pros:
-Moisturizing.
-Very silky.
-It actually fills in lines and pores to smooth it before foundation or moisturizer application.
-A little bit goes a long way.

Con(s):
-It a bit on the pricey side, but it lasts you a while!

Overall review: Since its allergy tested and I have sensitive skin, I wasn’t hesitant to use this product. It works on all types of skin and one of my clients had very rough skin and I exfoliated it and used this to prime before moisturizing and foundation application and her makeup went on very smoothly. Since it was her wedding day, I didn’t even have to touch up once, not including when I touched up her lipstick and powder before the reception. This product is very universal and it’ll be the best $34 you every spend. A pea sized amount does your entire face with some left over. I normally just use it where I have laugh lines and my T-zone because I don’t need it anywhere else. I hope you enjoyed this review.

Would I purchase it again? : Yes!

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10 Frosted glass bottle with a pump.

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes!

Review: Lux Naturals Body Butter

Hi girls. Today I’m reviewing the Lux Naturals body butter in Sugar Cookie. This is available at luxnaturals.com. It is $16 which is very reasonably priced for something that lasts for a while. I was sent this about two weeks ago and I’ve been using it ever since and it doesn’t even have a dent in it. I love this stuff and keep reading to know more.

Pros: The smell is very strong and I love it. It smells exactly like sugar cookies. It moisturizes very well. It’s not greasy or oily; it’s just right. It doesn’t just sit on top of the skin, it actually absorbs into the skin within a few minutes.

Cons: No cons.

Overall review: I swear that I could live off of this stuff. It doesn’t feel like any normal moisturizer since it actually goes deep into the skin instead of sitting on top of the epidermis. I love the smell, just the way my house smells when my mom makes cookies. It’s not too strong although when you sniff it in, you can smell it pretty heavily. The scent doesn’t fade which is a good thing. It melts exactly like butter in my hands so it becomes a lot like massage oil. Then after I shower, I rub it in and it moisturizes. I would recommend this to all of you out there that has dry skin. It’s best for winter time.

Would I purchase it again?: Yes, if this wasn’t sent to me and I actually bought it. Then yes I would buy it again, but one jar of this stuff lasts an entire 2 years probably because of the quantity.

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? YES!

Review: Burts Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

Hi girls, today I’m reviewing the Burt’s Bees Lemon Oil Cuticle Butter. This retails for $5-$6 at drugstores. It is for your cuticles and aids in pushing back your cuticles.

Pros: It moisturizes very well. It isn’t greasy and helps nails that are peeling or chipped. It works best overnight.

Cons: The moisture doesn’t last that long.

Overall review: It work pretty nicely, but sometimes it gets on my nerves. Overall, it’s a good product, but I wouldn’t recommend it for everybody.

Would I purchase it again? : Yes, why not! I love this stuff!

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes!

*Disclosure: This product was paid for by me. I received no compensation for this review. I have no affiliation with any companies mentioned. All opinions are 100% honest.

Review: Burts Bees Hand Salve

Hi girls, today I’m reviewing the Burt’s Bees Hand Salve. Most people would normally think that this is a lot like the MAC Salve that came out with the Naked Honey collection. It’s actually a solid balm type thing that you have to first swirl your finger in it to melt it and then you can apply it to your hands. It retails for $8-$9at Rite AId.Keep reading to read my review.

Pros: It’s very moisturizing if your hands are very dried out in the winter. It best for using overnight and putting on cotton gloves.

Cons: It may feel greasy if you don’t have very dry hands. It smells like menthol which I don’t like so much.

Overall review: I would purchase it if my hands ere excessively dry. I don’t recommend it for people who don’t have such dry hands. It alright, but I don’t love it for all the time because my hands change overtime. For me, it doesn’t work overnight, but it does for my sister because her hands are very dried out.

Would I purchase it again? : Yes, if I ever finish this one.

Rating: 9.5/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, but it’s not worth buying if your hands aren’t that dry.

*Disclosure: This product was paid for by me. I received no compensation for this review. I have no affiliation with any companies mentioned. All opinions are 100% honest.

Review: Lancôme Galatée Confort Comforting Milky Creme Cleanser

Hi girls, today I’m reviewing my mom’s holy grail cleanser. It’s the Lancôme Galatée Confort Comforting Milky Creme Cleanser. It retails for $30 at some retailers and $47 at others, but either way, it’s definitely a very high end product. Keep reading for my review.

Pros: One pump gets your entire face done. It removes eye makeup and lip stains and such very effortlessly. Since its oil based (like many other Lancôme makeup removers), it’s easier to remove waterproof makeup too.

Cons: No cons!

Overall review: In my opinion, it definitely a band for your buck because if you just use it to remove your makeup, you just need one pump and you’re done. It will definitely last you a long while. One bottle has lasted my mother and I a year and half. It’s definitely a good deal.

Would I purchase it again? : Actually, my mom has purchased this and I share with her and this is her 2nd or 3rd bottle of this stuff.

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10 Very convenient in a pump.

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, definitely, buy this if you want conditioned lashes after you remove your makeup and softer skin.

*Disclosure: This product was paid for by my mom. I received no compensation for this review. I have no affiliation with any companies mentioned. All opinions are 100% honest.

Review: Lanôme Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover

Hi girls, are you one of those people who have trouble removing MAC’s Liquid Liner? Do you feel that you tug on your lids too much? Well, today I’m reviewing a product that will help to remove your eye makeup much faster. It’s called the Lancôme Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover. The word facil means easy in French (don’t worry, I took French in Junior high school) and that’s what it does. It makes removing eye makeup easier. Its oil based so it can also be used to remove paint pots because in my experiences, paint pots don’t come off easily with just soap and water. I retails for $26 basically anywhere there is a Lancôme store or counter. Keep reading for my review.

Pros: It makes makeup removing 10x easier since its oil based. It breaks down any of the strong agents in long wearing makeup effortlessly. I actually use it on my lips and cheeks too when I wear a lip stain like Benefit’s posie tint. It’s easier to remove MAC‘s liquid liner because it doesn’t come off as easy as you would think. I also use this with my stubborn mascaras. It’s my most favorite product by Lancôme as well as their cleanser (review coming soon).

Cons: Its doesn’t have a pump or anything so you have to dip a cu-tip or a cotton ball in it which isn’t that sanitary. That’s why I stick to MAC wipes when doing makeup on others.

Overall review: I like how its oil based and it makes everything much easier for me. I still remember once when I ran out of it and MAC’s liquid liner wouldn’t come off, I got so frustrated that I got into the shower and poured a lot of baby oil into my hand and rubbed it into my eye and then my eye burned for like 2 hours. Hint: Never use baby oil to remove makeup! This is my holy grail makeup remover and I wouldn’t trade it in for anything.

Would I purchase it again? : Of course, it definitely a bang for your buck.

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 8.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes; if you’re a makeup lover and you are in search of a good makeup remover, this should be it!

*Disclosure: This product was given to my mother as a sample for spending over a certain amount of money in the Lancôme store. I received no compensation for this review. I have no affiliation with any companies mentioned. All opinions are 100% honest.

Review: Mally Beauty Cancellation Concealer System

Hi girls, today I’m reviewing the Mally Beauty Cancellation Concealer System. This kit contains a cream concealer in a pot, a setting powder in a pot, and a double ended brush; one side for concealing and one fluffy side for setting the concealer with the pressed powder. It retails for $35 from mallybeauty.com, QVC, boutiques, and QVC.com. It’s actually one of their best sellers and keep reading to see why.

Pros:
-It moisturizes my under eye area.
-It stays on for the whole day without fading.
-It concealed very well without caking.
-It provided maximum coverage and hides all those imperfections you probably have.
-It doesn’t smell bad; it’s a lot like a perfumed kind of smell.
-They come in refills.
-The setting powder is a good addition to the kit.

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: I really like the consistency of the concealer. It’s not drying whatsoever unlike the other high end brand concealer out there. It’s a must have for anyone who need maximum coverage, I actually use this stuff under my eyes and it covers pretty well and stays on for the entire day without fading. It covers blemishes seamlessly and doesn’t cake. I would say that this is the first concealer I have come across that actually covers up my dark under eye circles. Well, I hope you enjoy this review!

Would I purchase it again? : Yes, if I ever finish this one.

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10 it comes in a nice little kit!

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes; it’s best for maximum coverage.

Review: Mally Beauty Eye Primer

Hey girls! Today I blog again about an eye primer. Now, you would think “Oh this is something like Urban Decay Eye shadow Primer Potion”, well think again ladies. I’m reviewing the Mally Beauty Eye Primer. This isn’t your ordinary primer, but it works a lot like an eye cream. It’s a type of primer with silicone in it and it fills in the fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes. It can be purchased from many retailers and it retails for $54, but the QVC price is $35. Keep reading for more information!

Pros:
-It fills in fine lines and wrinkle around the eye area.
-It moisturizes the eye area without a greasy feel.
-It makes my concealer go on more smoothly.
-There isn’t any particular smell to this.
-It comes with a brush to apply the primer with.
-A little bit goes a long way.
-It helps my concealer last longer than usual.

Con(s):
-It might not fill in heavy lines and deep wrinkles.

Overall review: I really like this primer. I’ve never seen anything especially made for your under eye area with silicone. I would really buy this again because it really does a nice job. This helps in making my concealer stay on longer because normally my concealer starts fading in 4 hours, but this keeps it on for a full on 8 hours. It didn’t help my clients’ deep set wrinkles. I hope you enjoy this review!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes 

Review: Mally Beauty High Shine Liquid Lipstick Pen

Hi ladies. Today, I’ll be reviewing the Mally Beauty High Shine Liquid Lipstick Pen. This comes in a twist up tube like Stila’s lip glazes and retail for $20 from mallybeauty.com and other boutiques as well as QVC and QVC.com. These are super pigmented, shiny lip glosses and are named lipsticks because of the amount of pigments put into it. The one I’m reviewing is called Perfect Pink. Keep reading for more info.

Pros:
-Very shiny and glossy.
-Very pigmented, much like a lipstick.
-Smells great like candy.
-Nice smooth application with brush tip.
-Not sticky; more like the consistency of a lipstick.

Con(s):
-Doesn’t’ stay on very long; about an hour or two at the most.

Overall review: I would definitely recommend these for anyone because they include the shine of a lip gloss mixed in with the pigmentation of a lipstick. It would be best for anyone because all the colors are universal. I used this on my cousin whose skin tone is like 7 shades darker than mine and it still looks very nice on her. I would describe this color as mauve pink and a lot like MAC’s Bare Slim shine put into a liquid form. I think it has plumper’s in to because I used it on a client and her lips definitely looked bigger. I hope you guys enjoyed this review!

Would I purchase it again? : Of course; best lipstick ever!

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes.

Review: Magnapods Cosmetic Organizer

Hey girls. As per request, this post will be teaching you about a new revolution in makeup organization; sort of. I recently was sent the Magnapods and these are little storage units that fit inside your medicine cabinets. They are narrow enough that they fit between the space you have left between the shelf and the cabinet door. They are already magnetized and have a choice of fixed dividers or dividers that you can remove. They retail for $9.99 from magnapods.com and I have the link in the right bar. In the picture, those are the three that you get. Two of them are used for small items and the other one is more of like a brush holder. In the picture, you see the 4 section organizer I use for my everyday lip products. Then, I use the brush holder for my three most commonly used eye brushes everyday and the last picture shows the five section organizer which holds my everyday face items as well as my brush guards. I actually pulled out two of the dividers to put my Revlon Palette. Keep reading for my review.

Pros: The fact that you can take out the dividers really got me going. It’s easy and versatile to use and the organizers are nice and small. If you’re one of those people who have a vast lipstick collection then this organizer is for you. I bet you can fit a lot of these in your drawer too if you have a huge chest full of makeup. I use it in my traveling train case and I really enjoy having these with me because before a lady makes an appointment with me, I figure out what I will use on them and this keeps everything nice, neat, and organized. It’s a great investment and at just $10 for 3 organizers, it really a great bang for your buck.

Cons: No cons!

Overall review: I love this and it great for anything at your home. If you have a small makeup collection and want to keep everything you have compacted and altogether, then this is for you. The box looks like those “As seen on TV” boxes, but it’s not. Their website is pretty cool, but most things are in the making. Also, whoever asked me about this, well here s your answer sweetie. Thanks to Magnapods, this review was possible. I hope you girls think this is a good investment and get it because it saved my life.

Would I purchase it again? : Definitely!

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Of course; it’s really good for all of you unorganized chicks out there!

Review: The Brush Guard

Have you ever had the problem of having brushes bent after washing? Do you want your brushes to dry faster? Well then I think the brush guard is for you. I was recently sent the Brush Guard by the owners. They come in many sizes to conform to your different brushes. They retail for $5.50 from thebrushguard.com. I got the Variety Pack and it comes with 1 big guard for powder and foundation brushes, 2 foundation brush guards, 2 blush brush guards, and 1 shadow/liner brush guard. I will have a giveaway on two of these later in March for Easter. In the picture above, I use the two big guards for blush and powder brushes and the other two for eye shadow brushes. The last one I use for my pencil brush. Keep reading for my review.

Pros: Good for traveling. It doesn’t let your brushes deform and the bristles don’t get ruined. These are really good for keeping a brush covered in your purse for touch ups throughout the day. You can also cover your brushes with these after you clean them and put them face down in a cup. This way, your brushes will be dried overnight.

Cons: No cons, everything is good!

Overall review: I think this is best for anyone who uses makeup brushes and wants to keep them in good condition for the next 10 years. With good care, brushes all last long and that’s why they’re a good investment. It’s best when used to dry your brushes. When I use these while doing someone’s makeup, my assistant dries these like that and they dry less than two hours; just enough time to finish the other person’s makeup and start the next person’s makeup.

Would I purchase it again? : Yes, when I get more brushes!

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, it’s best for all of your brushes and getting them dried fast.

*Disclosure: This product was sent to me for review purposes by the owners of the Brush Guard. I received no compensation for this review. I have no affiliation with any companies mentioned. All opinions are 100% honest.

Review: Maybelline Lash Stiletto

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Today I’m reviewing Maybelline Lash Stiletto. This ranges anywhere from $5-$8 as far as I’ve seen. I have it in the shade Brownish Black. Keep reading to know more.

Pros: It volumizes and lengthens my lashes. It makes my lashes look naturally long and thick without the dramatic look.

Cons: It smells weird and the formula seems too watery. It gets on my lids every time I try it so you might want to use the business card trick.

Overall review: I really like it overall, but it smells weird and gets on my lids when I try to put it on. You have to use the business card trick.

Would I purchase it again? : Yes, if I ever finish one!

Rating: 8.5/10

Review: Lux Naturals Body Butter Bar

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Today I’m reviewing the Lux Naturals Body Butter Bar. It’s a lot like the Lush Massage Bars except not greasy and more moisturizing. This retails for $14 from luxnaturals.com. Keep reading for more information.

Pros: These increase the moisturized level in your skin and aren’t greasy at all. I have a dry spot which is near my elbow and when I put this on overnight, my skin is much moisturized in the morning. After the bar is absorbed, my skin is very smooth.

Cons: No cons!

Overall review: This bar is better than the Lush one in my opinion. It’s not greasy and helps my dry spots. Since there is a huge bar, it will most likely last you for a year even if you use it every day. This is why I like it so much. I can’t wait to finish this one and get another one.

Would I purchase it again? : Yes!

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I will definitely buy it again!

Review: Lux Naturals Candle

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Today I’m reviewing the Lux Naturals Candle in Tahitian Vanilla. I’ve tried this product out for two weeks and now I’m doing a review on it. I like the scent; it’s a lot like just vanilla, I don’t know why they named it Tahitian Vanilla. Well, keep reading to know more!
Pros: The scent lasts a while, and you can smell the scent in the entire room. It melts evenly pretty fast; like a couple of hours.
Cons: The scent is kind of waxy smelling, but other than that it’s perfect.

Overall review: I love this. It smells very nice and refreshing after a day of staring at peoples faces and trying to coverup their acne. I just run off the lights and just sit on the couch with this on.I really suggest this for people who want to relax without paying the heavy spa price.

Would I purchase it again? : Yes, but I don’t use candles a lot.

Rating: 9.4/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, take home you new candle and relax with any scent you want!

Review: Lux Naturals Soaps

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Today I’m reviewing the Lux Naturals Soaps that the owner sent me. This review isn’t going to be in the normal format because I love them too much to be describing them in any other way. She sent me their Sweet Pea soap, Watermelon soap, Red apple soap, and their best seller: the Moonlight pomegranate soap. This is the description on the website and I totally agree with everything stated:

“Each bar is a big 4.5 ounces. Made with Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil and Avocado Oil (All oils are unrefined as nature intended). We then add the finest in pure Essential Oils or Fragrance Oils that are specially formulated for soap. Some of our soaps also contain healthy herbs, herbal extracts or natural exfoliates. All of our soap is handmade by us in small batches and is animal friendly, vegetarian, eco friendly and petroleum free. You are going to love it!”

The soap that I found most exfoliating was the watermelon soap because it has little seed in it. In the other soaps, there is no exfoliant factor. These are very all natural because they are eco friendly and just very organic. I started using them three weeks ago and I’ve used them every day (except for 5 days because I had to try out another brand’s soap) because they leave my skin moisturizing. I think it’s because of the olive oil and the coconut oil as well as other oils. Well, not matter what’s in them, I really like using it since I have dry skin and this really helps it. This product is approved by me and I would definitely buy this again! I hope you enjoy this review! Thanks!

Review: Maybelline Color Stiletto Accentuating Cream Eyeshadow

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Over the Christmas break, many companies sent me different things, so I will be reviewing them over the weekend which is today and tomorrow. I’m reviewing the Maybelline Color Stiletto Accentuating Cream Eye shadow. This is a lot like a MAC shade stick except much more affordable. The shade I have is in starlet sable which is a dark brown. Keep reading for more information.

Pros: This is very creamy and doesn’t pull on your eyelid like a MAC Shade sticks would. You don’t have to warm it up. You have could also wear it on its own. I especially like it because it’s a great dupe for the MAC Shade sticks that are currently only available in limited edition collections. I don’t know if it’s me, but I felt a cooling effect when I put it on. This would be good for de puffing your eyelids in the morning.

Cons: No cons!

Overall review: I love this product. The stick provided a great base for any smoky brown eye. I used it and it didn’t come off until I used my oil based makeup remover. I also used it as a liner for my neutral looks. The boutique that sent it to me is called Brigette’s Boutique and they have limited edition and also current products on their website by numerous companies at very affordable prices. I believe that this comes in a duo with their Lash Stiletto Mascara for about $7 on their website which is pretty affordable. She sent me some extra stuff to giveaway which will happen for Easter. I really like this boutique and I plan on purchasing more products. I know a few of you wanted me to recommend a good online boutique. I hope you enjoy and purchase the products you wanted.

Would I purchase it again: Yes, definitely. If I didn’t have this sent to me and I bought it on my own, would have bought this again.

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10 A lot like the MAC Shade stick except more affordable.

Is it VICKY approved? : This is definitely approved by me for the perfect neutral eye as well as a smoky brown look!

Review: Yves Saint Laurent Lip Twins

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Over the Christmas break, many companies sent me different things, so I will be reviewing them over the weekend which is today and tomorrow. I’m reviewing the Yves Saint Laurent Lip Twins in Carmine Beige. This duo is a bright red carpet red and the other shade of lipstick is a neutral beige color. Keep reading for more information.

Pros: This lip duo has an SPF of 8. It protects you lips from getting burned which is the good thing. The red portion is very pigmented and sparkling like a dazzle glass. The beige portion is shiny and has smaller glitters on it. When applying, it has a lip brush with it and there is also a handy mirror which is good for using on the go. It feels very smooth when putting it on and it moisturizes my lips very well. No lip bases are necessary, but for best result, I would suggest exfoliating prior to using.

Cons: No cons!

Overall review: I love this product. The mix of products creates a very everyday wearable red lip. The boutique that sent it to me is called Brigette’s Boutique and they have limited edition and also current products on their website by numerous companies at very affordable prices. I believe that this lipstick is about $11.50 on their website which is pretty affordable.

Packaging: 10/10 Very unique packaging with a cute lip brush attached.

Is it VICKY approved?: This is definitely approved by me for the perfect red lip!

Review: MAC Colour Forms Lipstick

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Over the Christmas break, many companies sent me different things, so I will be reviewing them over the weekend which is today and tomorrow. I’m reviewing the MAC Lipstick in Inner Hue from the 2008 Colour Forms Collection now. It’s a coral reddish and its inner portion is like a frosty beige shade. It’s a luster finish, but it does the job in 2 swipes. Keep reading for more information.

Pros: It isn’t as sheer as many people describe luster finishes. It nice and pigmented. It doesn’t dry out at all. It moisturizes nicely. It looks like a rusted glossy red and I’m actually wearing it right now because I love it. I also like the glossy black tube packaging instead of the normal MAC packaging that is matte black.

Cons: No cons!

Overall review: I love this product. The boutique that sent it to me is called Brigette’s Boutique and they have limited edition and also current products on their website by numerous companies at very affordable prices. I believe that this lipstick is about $12 on their website which is pretty affordable.

Packaging: 10/10 General tube packaging.

Is it VICKY approved?: Yes it is. I’m definitely going to go and buy another one.

Review: Lush Honeybee Bath Bomb

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Over the Christmas break, many companies sent me different things, so I will be reviewing them over the weekend which is today and tomorrow. I’m reviewing the Lush Honeybee Bath Bomb now. It is one of Lush’s best selling products for the winter. Keep reading for more information.

Pros: It is perfect for dry skin and it moisturizes very well. What it does is actually fizz in your bath when water touches it and it makes your bath smell nice and it colors it. Since this bath bomb is yellow, your bath turns yellow. It has moisturizing properties because when I was in the bath, there are oils on my skin that are very moisturizing. I didn’t have any problems with this product. I used only half, but on my opinion, you only have to use one fourth of the bath bomb to get great results.

Cons: No cons!

Overall review: This is what I experienced. I really love the bath bombs. Previously, I had purchased one, but I didn’t know how to use it and I didn’t have a blog to review it on so I just lost hope. This one is beneficial to your skin because it moisturizes your dry calves and other parts of your body where the moisture level tends to become low in the winter time. It has essential oils in it to moisturize. I would compare the scent of this very much to the scent of their “Honey I Washed The Kids” soap; of honey but mixed with all natural oils and extracts.

Would I purchase it again: Yes, definitely. If I didn’t have this sent to me and I bought it on my own, would have bought this again.

Rating: 9.5/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved?: Yes it is. I’m definitely going to go and buy another one.

Review: Lush Celestial Facial Moisturizer

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Over the Christmas break, many companies sent me different things, so I will be reviewing them over the weekend which is today and tomorrow. I’m reviewing the Lush Celestial Facial Moisturizer now. It is one of Lush’s best selling products for the winter. Keep reading for more information.

Pros: It is perfect for dry skin and it moisturizes very well. My skin doesn’t feel greasy or anything and it provides a great base for makeup. It makes my pores appear smaller, but it might not provide the same results for you. It moisturizes very well and I even out it on my lips for overnight protection.

Cons: It might make you look oily if you have normal to oily skin. When my mom used it, her skin looked oily and I told her to put some powder over it so that it looks less oily. Also it has no SPF which doesn’t really matter because in the winter there are not really many sun’s rays.

Overall review: I plan on purchasing another jar of this stuff. It’s very natural and doesn’t clog pores. It has an expiration date because it’s made with natural products such as vanilla extract and almond oil. It helps your skin in the winter because it sufficiently hydrates. Once you apply it, you don’t have to apply it for the rest of the day and this doesn’t wear off. That’s the reason I love it so very much.

Would I purchase it again: Yes, definitely. If I didn’t have this sent to me and I bought it on my own, would have bought this again.

Rating: 9.5/10

Packaging: 10/10 The moisturizer is conveniently packaged in a jar. You just have to scoop it out to use it.

Is it VICKY approved?: Yes it is.

Review: Eden Allure Pure Moroccan Argan Oil

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Over the Christmas break, many companies sent me different things, so I will be reviewing them over the weekend which is today and tomorrow. I’m reviewing the Eden Allure Pure Moroccan Argan Oil now. Keep reading for more information.

Pros: It’s oil that absorbs very fast. It’s best for your elbow and other super dry areas like your calves and also your knuckles if they get dry in the winter. This would be good for any season when using it in the roots of your hair before you wash it. I also like using it on my cuticles overnight because it really helps to get them very soft and not crusty and dry. I use this on my elbows and it is super soft now. You just need a little bit and that little bit goes a long way. An entire drop does the roots of my hair and after I washed it, my hair is very soft. This product is definitely a bang for your buck even though its $30.

Cons: No cons!

Overall review: I really love this product. I give honest reviews and I honestly said what it did for me. If it didn’t work, I wouldn’t even give this review. I have been using this for an entire week now. A review on the two soaps is coming soon. The oil when using it in your hair penetrates deep inside to moisturize the entire hair follicle and your hair comes out very smooth. I really like this. My friend’s grandma always puts coconut oil in her hair before washing it and I asked her to try this and her hair was softer that anything. After she used it, I used it and my hair was as soft as hers too.

Would I purchase it again: Yes, definitely. If I didn’t have this sent to me and I bought it on my own, would have bought this again.

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10 The oil comes conveniently packaged in a pump bottle.

Is it VICKY approved?: Yes it is.

Review: Skin MD Natural Shileding Moisturizer

Hi girls, I apologize for not being able to put up any posts. I just had so many clients coming to me. Over the Christmas break, many companies sent me different things, so I will be reviewing them over the weekend which is today and tomorrow. Today I’m reviewing the Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion. Keep reading for more information.

Pros: Its paraben free which is good for our skin. Its non-hypoallergenic so sensitive skin has no problem using this. It can be used on the face, hands, and body. It’s also non-comedogenic which means it doesn’t clog pores. They also have a version available with SPF 15. They also don’t test on animals because I love animals. Well, now let’s get to the point. It is a watery and thin consistency. It absorbs into the skin very quickly leaving the skin very smooth and basically baby soft. It actually protects against windburns since my skin get windburn very fast and I was using this when I went to a baseball game. The wind was blowing right in my face, but I didn’t get red like other times.

Cons: No cons!

Overall review: This lotion is best for all weather since it doesn’t have a greasy feeling which can get on your verves in the summer. This doesn’t make my skin oily. It provides a sufficient amount of moisture. My skin is dry and when I put this on, my skin feel very natural just like when I was a baby. I had perfect normal skin. I swear I can live off of this stuff.

Would I purchase it again: Yes, definitely. If I didn’t have this sent to me and I bought it on my own, would have bought this again.

Rating: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved?: Yes it is. This is a universal moisturizer good for any types of skin types.
