Review: Squeezy Lip Smackers Skittles

Hey girls! I recently had made a haul post about buying this trio of Skittles lip smackers. Today I’m reviewing the Squeezy Lip Smackers Skittles in Mango Tangelo. I bought this trio for $5.76 and I think I saw it as a single for like $2.99, but whatever the price is, I love this product and keep reading to see why!

Pro(s):
-Compact and good for on the go.
-Nice and cute packaging.
-Very glossy and lightweight feel on the lips.
-Very smooth and moisturizing.
-Clear!
Con(s):
-A bit on the sticky side.

Overall review: I just really like this product. It smells a lot like mangoes and tastes sweet like Skittles too. This is by far the best lip gloss I’ve ever tried. Its light weight and glossy at the same time. What better can you ask for? It’s actually a fairly good investment and good to spice up your matte lipsticks. I now it’s a bit juvenile, but what can I do, I just love lip smackers. Enjoy the review and thanks to Carrie G. for requesting the review!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Oui, oui dudettes!

Review: Sweetly You Body Butter

Hey girls! I just love Cookies ’n’ Cream ice cream, don’t you? Well, for all of you cookie lovers out there, I have a body product for you that will keep you wanting more. It’s the Sweetly You Body Butter. At just $4.95, this is a must have to keep in your purse and for on the go. Keep reading to see what I think about this product!

Pro(s):
-A must have for the winter.
-Very budget friendly and eco-friendly.
-Not greasy at oil or oily.
-Makes my skin very smooth.
-Very creamy and soft to the touch.

Con(s):
-The moisture doesn’t last very long.

Overall review: I really like this product. It works really well for its price and it’s very eco-friendly in my opinion since it doesn’t contain all that bad stuff normal body butters contain. I actually didn’t find this to be like the Lux Naturals body butter because it’s not exactly butter. The Lux Naturals one melted on my skin like butter and turned into oil and this one was like a thick lotion consistency that I really love. I can safely say that this product is a must have for the winter season. I went to bed with sweet dreams since the scent I have it in is Cookies ‘n’ Cream. I hope that if you purchase this product you enjoy it!

Rating: 9/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I love it!

I expect a lot from OPI so I hope to review at least one polish and let you know how the formula and stuff is. This is set to release sometime in the summer. For now I only have promo pics, but enjoy them. Here are the shades in this collection:

Press Release: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Collection for 2010

 Hey girlies! Lately I’ve been doing too many press release because there are just too many collections coming out from various cosmetic companies and this is all getting me very excited but always whenever I see the collection in person, I end up not liking it much just like Colour Forecast. It got me so excited about the blush ombres and then went and I swatched them in real life, they were too chalky, too soft, and very unblendable to me and there weren’t any cool colors available. I just love what I own currently and what my train case is full of. Well, again the Estee Lauder Company is wowing me with their collections, but I might not get anything. Click here to take a full look at this amazing collection!

Press Release: Clinique Summer 2010 Collection

Hi chicks! I’m very tired today as I walked like 2 miles from and to the mall (yeah that’s how obsessive and health conscious I am; I didn’t even go to the food court!), but I have to get this press release out. Well, for all of you Clinique makeup lovers out there, they’re coming out with a collection for you. They’re mostly going to be very neutral and bronzy. I will most likely skip on this collection, but I’m still going to check it out very soon. Enjoy the pics for now that I found on musingsofamuse.com.

Press Release: Givenchy Summer collection 2010

Hey girlies. Happy Friday! I'm not that happy because I have school homework to do. Well, I was looking at fellow bloggers’ posts and the Muse had a great post on the summer 2010 Givenchy collection. I was especially stunned by the Givenchy Phenomen’ Eyes Waterprooof in Black, Brown, and Blue which is exclusive to Europe (lucky them)! Well,  here's  a link to her post because its mind blowing! Enjoy your day!

New Sigma Makeup Professional Brush Line

Sigma has done it once again. This new set of eye brushes will be releasing February 22 just like the other new face brushes. I actually own all of these brushes in MAC form so I’ll try doing a review and side by side comparison. I just love the idea of them being so affordable, but again I don’t want to break the bank. Well girls, I hope you enjoy the pictures! Let me know if you urgently need reviews because I’ll be more than welcome to do one if I can.

Press Release: Hourglass Cosmetics Prodigy Lipgloss Collection

Well, hi ladies! You all know how I love lip gloss and thank god that Hourglass cosmetics came out with a collection for their ultra slim lip glosses. I will most likely be reviewing this very soon so just watch out for that review. The thing that shocked me about these was their ultra slim packaging. I can’t wait to see it in real life. Hourglass cosmetics are sold online and in some Sephora stores and online too. Here are the shades in this collection:

-Eden
-Hypnotic
-Legend
-Opium
-Pulse
-Surreal

Enjoy!

Small Mall Haul!

Hi girls, so today I went to the mall and picked up a few items. I was mainly exploring MAC today because nothing really caught my eye. I checked out the Colour Forecast collection (finally) and I felt that everything was just poorly pigmented. I also checked out the Riveting collection and this collection is the exactly the opposite. I actually swatched the blush and it was like crazy pigmented. I was also looking at the tiny pigment jars. I won’t purchase pigments anymore although I have all of them. Only if they come out with more pigments in other colors I might get it. I checked out this store and they had the OPI Hong Kong Collection as well as OPI Alice in Wonderland. It got be excessively excited and I was tempted but I only has $12 on me. I did some damage at Bath and Body Work. Actually, if you call $2.50 damage then well you’re cheap. I also purchased some 99 cent products at a store called Lot-Less. That’s where I got the blush/bronzer duo that looks like Nars Orgasm/Laguna. Well, here are some pics of what I got. I ran into a couple of friends from middle school, but I didn’t say hi or anything. It was kind of rude, but that’s me! Enjoy!

Purple Lab is on HSN!

Hi girls. I really wanted to cover this amazing story of Karen. She is the mastermind behind “Huge Lips Skinny Hips” and these are amazing plumping lip glosses that I’ve applied once in a tester. Now, she’s on HSN. Watch her here! Check in the beauty section. She’s live now! It’s amazing how her journey from March on YouTube came to February on HSN. They’ve sold many so far like over 2,000. I believe that’s what I saw. The good thing they’re describing about these is that they’re pretty, light, non-drying, non-sticky, sheer, lasts good, non-runny, and just great for everyday. They plump your lips without the burning sensation. Also, a fellow beauty blogger whose name is Temptalia is tweeting away at this event because she’s there backstage which is cool. Follow her on twitter. Enjoy

Review: Incoco Dry Nail Polish

Hey girls, do you often have somewhere to go and cannot waste precious time painting one coat of polish and waiting it to dry and then repeating that over and over again? Then you need Incoco Dry Nail Polish.

Wow, too informercialish. I personally sort of liked it but whatever. As always you can tell by my boring titles that yes this is a review for a nail polish that’s dry. Some of you are pinching yourself and thinking “Is this a dream? Next thing you know, there will be a face pad that you stick on your face and all the makeup sticks on and you peel the sticker part off.” Well ladies, don’t worry it’s real and you can find it your everyday stores that you visit. Many drugstores like CVS and Walgreens sell his beautiful products and why not, it’s so awesome that they can make millions of dollars off of it. Here is what it is. It’s called Incoco Dry Nail Appliqué (fancy word huh) and is basically stick on nail polishes that you take the strip, warm it up in your hand, and then apply to your bare nail. It’s a nail polish, base coat, and top coat all in one and it stayed on for my nails for over 2 weeks without chipping. I don’t know exactly how much it retails for; I’ve heard somewhere between $5 and $10. It lasted me through 3 manicures. Keep reading to see why I love this product so much!

Pro(s):
-Nice variety of colors to choose from.
-Easy to use.
-Very shiny finish.
-No air bubble; very smooth.
-Long lasting; say two weeks minimum.

Con(s):
-Sort of smelly just like normal liquid nail polish.

Overall Review: I just love it. I apologize that my conclusion will be very short and simple, but I am a huge fan of these. They’re also air port safe so you won’t have your bag checked because this isn’t liquid. Amazing isn’t it. Thanks to Rina L. for the request, I hope you enjoy it honey!

Rating: 9.5/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I will be buying more of these!

Yay or Nay: Sally Hansen Cream Bleach for Face

Hi darlings! So today’s “Yay or Nay” will be Sally Hansen Cream Bleach for Face. Now, not too long ago, I was a teenager and I really wanted to lighten my facial hair such as my “moustache”. It wasn’t until now though that I really went gaga over it. I was a smart person not to get it waxed because I didn’t want to artificially remove it and now I’ve discovered my new found love. I’ve just recently tried this and I must say that it works wonders. It makes my dark hairs blond which I like because they blend right into my skin tone. Well, after so much testing and experimented, I’d have to say that this is a “Yay” product.

Final Decision: YAY!!!

Review: Honeycat Cosmetics Coquito Bubble Stuff

Hey girlies! Are you one of those people who stopped taking bubble baths but want to start again? Well, I think Honeycat Cosmetics Coquito Bubble Stuff is the best product for you. The good thing is that you can buy this product off of honeycatcosmetics.com. It’s very inexpensive too. The price is $8 for the 8 oz size and $12 more for the 18oz size. Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-The fragrance lasts a long time.
-A little bit of bubble stuff creates a lot of bubbles and even my nieces like it.
-The fragrance is really calming.
-I just love the fragrance.

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: This is by far the best bubble maker I’ve ever used. It creates pretty big bubbles in warm or cold water and I really love it. I really don’t have much to say about this product, everything is great. The packaging is cute, the product smells great and works amazingly, and whoever asked for a review of this, hun you’ll love it to death. I already got another one and I’m half way done with it. I hope you enjoyed the review, thanks a lot for all the support.

Rating: 10/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes; I already bought a backup and I’m halfway done with it.

Press Release: New Sigma Makeup Professional Brush Line

Hola ladies! After a long day, I want all of you to be happy and dream happily. This is the newest press release from Sigma Makeup. Well, first, let me give you a little description of what this company is.

Company Description:
The Sigma Makeup was started by a professional makeup artist named Simone in Mississippi. She wanted people to be able to buy brushes without breaking the bank. This is when Sigma Makeup was born. She created an affordable line of professional quality brushes that women of all ages can use and still look and feel great. Now, she is releasing in this collection a line of dupes of MAC brushes, but she customized them according to what she didn’t want the MAC brushes to have or to improve the MAC brushes.

My Thoughts:
I was actually recently introduced to them and a lot of you (say 100) asked me to review the entire line. Well, for those of you who asked, I apologize but I just can’t afford at the moment to buy the entire line. It would cost a good $300, but I’ll see what I can do. I’m just amazed that they decided to create such an amazing line and since I own none of the brushes except the 195 in MAC version, I just might give this line a try. I hope you girls enjoyed and take a look at the pictures below; they will definitely give you sweet dreams!

Review: Senna Cosmetics Lip Sync

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Senna Cosmetics Lip Sync in A La Mode. It retails for $24 from sennacosmetics.com and various boutiques however it’s on sale now for $14.40 so you’re in luck.

Pro(s):
-The lipstick is very pigmented and creamy.
-Both products are very moisturizing and long lasting.
-The lip gloss’s applicator is cool.
-The lip gloss is very smooth and non sticky.
-This shade duo is amazing.

Con(s):
-No cons!

Overall review: OMG! This is the best lipstick/lip gloss duo I’ve eve used. I’ve never seen anything like his before and after using it so far I love it to death. I’ve actually almost used up the entire lip gloss part. Since its very pink nude, I use it for everyday looks. Its non stickiness amazes me. I’ve never seen anything like it. At one point, I felt like I wasn’t wearing anything when all of a sudden a lady came up to me and said that she loved m lip color and asked me about it. III just love it and whoever asked for a review of this, thanks because I feel much honored to even try this product out. Enjoy!

Is it VICKY approved? : Of course!

Review: Hard Candy Lipstick

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing a Hard Candy lipstick in No Peeking. This can be purchased at Wal-Mart stores and walmart.com. This retails for $6 which is very budget friendly. The color is a very bright dark pink and the swatch shown is the exact color of how it comes out on lips. There isn’t any shimmer in it and its sort of matter but still has an opaque finish. Keep reading to hear my thoughts on this product!

Pro(s):
-Very budget friendly.
-Good pigmentation.
-Cute packaging.
-Moisturizes my lips.
-A lot of shades to fit any skin tone.

Con(s):
-It smudges.

Overall review: I really like this lipstick but my only complaint is that it smudges and feathers even when I use a lip liner. It’s too pigmented in my opinion but that isn’t really a bad thing at all. It glides on like butter and the formula is better than even a MAC Cream sheen lipstick. I would buy this no matter what and it seems like a good dupe of the Korres Lipstick. It glides on like butter which is very good and you wouldn’t need to use a gloss on top because of its opaqueness. This review was requested by Sammy but I forgot to mention the other requesters in other reviews. I’ll try doing that as much as possible because you people seem to like my reviews Thanks for all the support!

Rating: 9/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Definitely, I look forward to purchasing more in the future.

Review: Senna Cosmetics Silky Face Primer

Hey girls! Today I’m reviewing the Senna Cosmetics Silky Face Primer. It retails from various boutiques and sennacosmetics.com for $38. It a pink/blue tinted primer to fill in lines/pores/wrinkles and creates a smooth base to apply foundation and other face products. Keep reading to hear what my thoughts are on this product.

Pro(s):
-Smells good.
-Very moisturizing.
-The pink tint in the product brightens my face in the morning.
-It helps my makeup glide on like butter and blend easier.
-Smoothes out your face.
-Makes you makeup last over 6 hours.

Con(s):
-Too many shimmers that get on my nerves.

Overall review: Not including the glitter ball situation (that happened after using the primer on its own by accident), I really like this product because it’s very silky but oily too. It leaves my skin dewy, but can be transformed into matte. The thing I was talking about of the glitter ball was that I used some of it on its own because I was going outside and I looked like a disco ball, but after you put foundation on top of it, the shimmers tend to be toned down. I just love this product and I’ve already ordered another one. It’s actually one of their bestselling items. I hope you enjoyed this review and whoever requested this review: here it is!

Rating: 9/10

Is it VICKY approved? : Yes, I want to purchase another one soon.
